Situated in Port Isabel, this charming condo for $226 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. Alta Vista is a beautifully restored historical property built in 1931. Constructed of timber, masonry and stucco, it is similar to many buildings in Old Mexico from that time period with it's Colonial style, arched entries, private covered porches and courtyard. Our family purchased the property in 2003 which had been neglected for many years and began a complete authentic restoration. The structure has been completely renovated and most of the original features preserved including the beautiful oak flooring, exterior masonry and doors. The property has been modernized too with central air conditioning, on-demand hot water, TV, WI-FI internet and swimming pool. The kitchens and bathrooms feature beautiful talavera tile and saltillo tile floors which we brought with us from trips to Central Mexico. This Apartment has a queen bed in the master bedroom, a full size bed in guest room, a queen sleeper sofa in the living room, and all bed tops are freshly laundered before your arrival. You have the convenience of a furnished kitchen. Outside you will find lush tropical gardens, the courtyard swimming pool, lounge chairs and umbrellas. There is an outside kitchen with a wood burning churrascaria style barbecue, gas grill, and bar. There is a cool breezeway with rocking chairs for relaxing. We also have 2 washers & 2 dryers in our on site laundry room which comes in handy for those on extended stay. We can offer suggestions for all types of activities, restaurants, directions and points of interest. We know Port Isabel, South Padre Island, and the Rio Grande Valley very well and gladly share our knowledge of the area to enhance your stay. **IMPORTANT NOTE, PLEASE READ** COLLECTION OF HOTEL/MOTEL (LODGING) CITY TAX As of April 1, 2019, Homeaway was advised that they can no longer collect the lodging tax imposed by the city, however, they are working on getting this issue resolved as quickly as possible. There has always been a mandatory collection of 12% Hotel Occupancy tax, for both state and the city of Port Isabel. We, as the host, must still collect the city of Port Isabel's 6% and remit that to the city for each rental, as before, but we must do it with a separate invoice generated after the booking. You will receive this payment request/invoice after you have booked. It isn't costing you more than before. This is what has always been collected but we just have to do it differently now, until they have this resolved. We apologize for this inconvenience.

Historic stucco hotel has so much charm, the atrium is briming with plants and the covered pool make it a perfect oasis after a sunny day at the beach.

This is our second time to stay at this beautiful Vista! We love it and can't wait to come back. The rooms are clean and comfy with lots of space for everyone! My family of 4 absolutely loved it. My favorite part is the location and the pool. You can go across the causeway and spend the day at the beautiful beaches, then come home to a quiet and private getaway! Away from the hustle, bustle and party scene on the island.

We had a wonderful experience at the Alta Vista Apartments. The decor was beautiful and the area was quiet and peaceful. The beds were comfortable and felt like a home away from home. My kids had a wonderful time in the pool after being at the beach and I'm already planning for our next stay. Would love to bring family and book the whole place up. We will be returning. It was a lovely place. Highly recommend.

We had a beautiful time! So excited to have found such a chic place out of the fray for the 4th of July craziness but close enough to the island to enjoy all it has to offer. The pool was great- everything was SO clean..beautiful decor..most definitely eager to return

This unit was absolutely charming, the whole property was in fact. We were happy to be away from the craziness of the Island but close enough to enjoy the beach and return to the quiet of PI. The unit has 2 bedrooms and a pull out couch so I would say that 6 can comfortably sleep here, although the 2nd bed was a full so you would really have to like the person you were sleeping with. The beds were comfortable and clean. I was thrilled to find the unit stocked with plenty of linens, paper goods, dishes and even a few days of coffee and creamers. We will definitely book this location again.
