A beautiful stay in a beautiful part of Cape Town

Everything was amazing, from the amazing freshly squeezed juices in the morning to the quaint/individual rooms with so much character. Close to the V&A waterfront and really secure and safe.

One of my favorite places to stay in Greenpoint.

Property was amazing, staff were incredible.

There was a problem with the hot water in the shower. Luke warm or cold, which I did report and am sure they will sort out.

Stunning!!!

Walking into the State was like entering a movie. I was beyond impressed with my stay the Monlevliet. Everything was perfect, from the awe inspiring Mountain views to the mind bogging manor. The staff tends to your every need before you even ask. This place was so amazing that I booked an extra night and decided to just spend my days relaxing in the property. I think it was one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen and I can’t wait to be back.

The fireplace wasn’t working properly and would shut quickly after a long of work to turn it on. This gave me a VERY cold first night until the next day when I realized there was a heater in the room.

interior design is interesting convenient location.

very noisy place. it is a house and not a hotel. you can listen doors open/close at night /early in the morning. the sewage smells bad in the bathroom. cleaning standards are not excellent. parking availability is very limited. very expensive for what it offers.

We would love to stay at Harpers House again.

The breakfast was really nice. Location is perfect and close to good restaurants and the stadium. The rooms are beautiful and spacious.

Waited quite a while for the breakfast as no-one was in the building.

A boutique hotel with 10/10 staff

This hotel was a true gem! The staff could not have been nicer and where happy to help with any queries. The breakfast was unreal - true value for money! Freshly made juice every day and breakfast cooked personalised to you every day. Couldn't recommend enough even just to experience the hospitality!

Average stay

The location was good because we rented a car and we appreciated the on-site parking facilities. The bed was comfortable.

The photos of the property gave a false expectation as the building was very small and the pool can't really be called a pool. It is more of a plunge pool. There also isn't an area to sunbathe as the property is so small and the pool directly in front of a guests window. The rooms weren't clean and several light bulbs were not working or just missing. We felt safe so it was okay but I wouldn't recommend nor will we come back.

Room 1 on groungd floor suffered from creaking floorboards from room above Breakfast was not as expected. very frugal portion sizes and no "grazing table" 25 mins wait for breakfast Room cleaning poor on one day of our stay

extremely pleasant little gem in Greenpoint

great location, 20 mins walk to CBD and 20 mins walk to V&A waterfront. Beautiful little oasis with small pool and picturesque patio area. the staff were lovely, so friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast variety a real standout we looked forward to each morning. The rooms were beautifully decorated and roomy and cleaned / tidied daily. cannot recommend enough.

We would stay again. It was wonderful!

The breakfast was amazing. It's more of a bed-and-breakfast type of place, not really a hotel. So, breakfast is custom and cooked to order. There is a menu, but they made what we wanted. 10/10. No complaints at all.

The folks that book excursions are not in the hotel, so communications are a bit difficult. There is a disconnect w between locals on the ground and whomever is handling the excursion. The local staff are very helpful, but whoever we message on booking.com about the excursions are too far removed to be helpful at times.

What a wonderful building, beautifully and tastefully decorated, surrounded by a lovely little garden. Our room was spectacular, the bed super comfortable, staff incredibly nice, and the breakfast to die for.
