Dalahyttur was amazing. The staff and owners were wonderful - so accomodating with food (i am gluten free and they handled that with care and ease!), directions, etc. breakfast + dinner were lovely and the place was just truly so cool - on a clear night i bet the northern lights would have been unreal.

We stayed in 11 places on our tour around Iceland, and this was our favourite!
The log cabin was warm and cosy - not the biggest and not the smallest we stayed in, but perfect for our needs.
The bed was very comfortable. I love that we each had our own duvet (not something we have at home) It had a great shower room. There was a table and chairs and a little kitchenette.
Breakfast and evening meal if you wanted it was in the converted barn close by, which again has been made to feel warm, cosy and very inviting.
The staff were lovely and made our stay feel really special.
The views down the valley were amazing. Would definitely stay there again and would recommend.
Only down side was the road you have to drive to get to it had loads of pot holes, not the fault of the property as its what we in the UK would class a B road. But, that being said, we drove on way worse main roads on our trip.
We were told that the road had got worse recently due to heavy rain, again, nothing they can do about that!

Nice quiet location, option of a nice evening meal cooked fresh. Cabin was small as we expected when booking, but nice size bathroom and country views.

Cosy room and set up.
Property was a little out of the way. Room was quite small and there was little space to place toiletries or move around in the bathroom.
