Absolutely beautiful, charming location and estate. The atmosphere is indescribable. Friendly staff, Annabelle was so thoughtful and hospitable, we had a great stay and enjoyed meeting Louis who is the 10th generation owner. The property and rooms are beautifully renovated with an eye for preserving the estate's original character.
We stayed in a room overseeing the river and I can highly recommend it if you want to experience a rustic quinta and personal service.
The outdoor areas were also nice to enjoy and relax around and you can take a walk around the vineyards.
Everything was honestly great! I was surprised to hear from the owner that some don't like this kind of stay, expecting hotel amenities, a gym etc. I've stayed at five star hotels and this honestly is incomparable; it's unique, rustic one of a kind and such a beautiful experience.
If you are not coming by car I do have to say you will be able to experience less of what the region has to offer and getting to the quinta would probably be by taxi.

Authentic, old world vineyard setting with charming and comfortable rooms. Very clean and a nice breakfast. The owner was visiting during our stay and shared some of the property’s history with his family. The vineyard was close to Peso de Regua for dining and access to the N222 for touring the Douro Valley.
