Located in Folly Beach, this lovely house for $700 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. Turtle Watch BEACH FRONT - owner managed. 5 bedrooms and 3 full baths large beautifully spacious and very comfortable home. It has spectacular sunrises and moon-rises over the pier with full view of the Ocean, all from the screened-in porch off the Main living room floor. The screened in porch is really the focal point for any beach front home....No Bugs! It has composite decking so also very nice on the feet and good for babies to crawl on as well. The hammock on the screened in porch is a must of course. Nothing like a nap to sounds of the ocean! Turtle Watch Beach House is far enough away from town to hear the ocean sing yet so close with a 10min walk to town. In the summer May - October Sea Turtles arrive on Folly Beach to nest for hundreds of years right in the backyard. It's an amazing site to witness quietly! Turtle Watch is beautifully decorated with updated furniture and decor from beach spots all over the globe. The furnishing and decor give this home a very comfortable homey vibe. There are several areas to tuck away and relax with a book, sway in 1 of 2 hammocks, gather for games or just be in the moment from the upstairs library, (2) sundecks, screened in porch, office area or one of the three seating areas on the main level or two seatings area on the ground level. Or maybe, let Melanie know you would like to arrange to rent a golf cart, or bikes, and have them ready upon your arrival for nice stroll over the 4 miles of Folly Beach, the closest beach to Charleston Downtown, 15mins! Turtle Watchs' (5) bedrooms are also fully appointed with a TV in every sleeping room, with HBO and Starz. Beds are (2) Kings (2) Queens (1) twin/double bunk (1) day bed and are all very comfortable with GOOD mattresses, good thread linens and "non - lumpy" pillows with four on every bed. (2) sets of bath, hand and face towels in each room. Kitchen is opened up all the way around a gas stove top in the island for easy cooking. With a kitchen that is fully stocked with all the kitchenware imaginable: blenders, choppers, toasters, 12 cup coffee, 1 cup Kuerig, baking and roasting dishes, pots, pans, casserole dishes. Plus place settings, cutlery and glassware, for 14ppl. Owner loves cooking and entertaining. You should want for nothing. Turtle Watch Beach House provides ample beach and activity accessories. (4) beach chairs, (2) umbrellas, (8) Beach towels, an array of beach buckets, pales, shovels for building sandcastles, beach paddle ball, (4) frisbees, and a tub of baby water toys including an a small baby pool! The private beach access walkway is key to a beach front home. Owner put in an IPE wood beach access boardwalk to the beach. What does this means its a brazilian hardwood with very smooth surfaces so NO SPLINTERS! Yippie! It's very nice on the feet as apposed to old cracking wood decks. The two sun decks, one on the 3rd floor for privacy and one along the Board Walk between the house and the beach are a great seating area or for private sun bathing areas. Historic Charleston is within an easy 15 minute driving distance. Downtown Charleston has an outstanding array of Cuisine, Harbor Dining, Roof Top Dining, and of course Causal Dining. Tip: Seafood is fresh and definitely a must to sample. The market section in Downtown is sure to please any avid shopper. Charleston has several Historic Plantations and Gardens nearby. Also, the lovely Towns of Beaufort, SC and Savannah, GA are only one hour by car and offers the most beautiful Low Country settings. Turtle Watch rents weekly only Saturday to Saturday.

Turtle Watch is in an incredible location. Waking up looking at the waves is a little mind blowing. The house is perfect for eight (or ten) people. Kitchen has everything. Everything worked. It was a memorable week for our family.

What a fabulous place this is. We’ve been renting summer vacation houses for over 10 years and Turtle Watch is now top of our list. The kitchen was very well stocked for all our cooking needs and the few times we didn’t cook, we walked to the local restaurants. We loved the screened in back porch where we sat and watched the waves and yes, a few dolphin swam by. The kids especially liked the closeness of our “backyard beach”. The overall decor of the house reflected a very welcoming feeling that allows you to relax and enjoy time with family. Definitely will visit again.

We stayed at Turtle Watch for a week with immediate and extended family. The house is beautifully kept, landscaping gorgeous and inviting, clean and very well stocked. We had small issue not being able to open freezer and the owner Melanie was there in 15 minutes to correct the problem. No further dilemmas all week. Air conditioning was great and very comfortable. Plenty of supplies with specific instructions…which I appreciate! We are all on the same page regarding expectations. The views from her home spectacular. She was only a call away if we needed. We would love to return in the future….she made the whole process very simple. Thank you Melanie for sharing your beautiful home with our family!

Turtle Watch is an awesome house with all your needs anticipated. The views are gorgeous, the beach is steps away, the town is within walking distance and Charleston is close by. The beds are extremely comfortable and the kitchen is user friendly. We enjoyed our vacation emencely.

We had a great stay at Turtle Watch. Gorgeous views of the ocean, very clean property with everything you could need. Check-in went very smoothly -- she even got us in early after the tennis tournament we came down to see was rained out for the afternoon. Melanie was very responsive to questions, too. Overall a great experience.

We had a wonderful time staying here. The home was stunning and stocked with everything you can think of for cooking and the beach. We also had two little ones with us and the baby gear for use was so helpful. The owner was so nice and thoughtful as well. We loved Folly beach and plan on visiting and staying here again. Can’t beat this location!

Everything comes together to make an amazing and memorable trip. The house is perfect with every amenity. The view is breathtaking from every single window. The house is spotless not a speck of dust. There are also super helpful guides put around the house to help make the stay easy. This is our second trip , this time we brought my husbands brothers family and they loved it just as much. We will be back soon. Close to everything while still being in a quiet peaceful space to enjoy a pure blissful beach day. The kids love all the toys and beach toys, min golf and ping pong.

My family has rented Beach homes on Sullivans Island and IOP. A year ago we decided we wanted to try Folly Beach. I must have looked at a dozen VRBO listings and nothing grabbed me. Then I saw the listing for Turtle Watch II and I knew this was the place we wanted to rent.First off the name indicated the owner appreciates nature. The write up was very detailed and the pictures were excellent. The pictures were accurate. Everything was just as it appeared in the listing. The house is immaculate and extremely well maintained. We like to eat some of our meals at the house we rent and I have to say this was the best home for cooking. The appliances were clean and top notch. We have never rented a home that had such a wide assortment of cooking utensils that were clean and well made. Outstanding from a kitchen standpoint. We had a total of 7 people at one time, 2 couples and 3 singles. We all had our own bedrooms which was extremely important to us. The beds were very comfortable. There were 3 spacious bathrooms that were very clean. Over the years I have come to expect some minor issues in the homes we have rented. There were absolutely no issues to deal with at Turtle Watch. Location, location, location!!! The house is right on the beach. It is a half mile from town so you are far enough away from the crowds, but close enough to walk there anytime for dining or shopping. The Folly Beach pier is fantastic and only a 10 minute walk along the beach. The beach is pristine. Just a wonderful location. I had the opportunity to speak with the owner a couple of times and Melanie was most helpful. She answered my questions and made me feel most welcome. You can tell that Turtle Watch is her pride and joy. I will stop now because no one will want to read such a long review. We loved our stay at Turtle Watch. It was our best beach home rental we ever experienced. I recommend it highly, but take good car of her because she is special. We will be back.

I won’t be able to convey the tranquillity found with this home and Folly. It is so convenient even though we had several commitments on the peninsula it was so easy to Uber everywhere. We had friends stay with us and they fell in love too. Even though it was off season, we spent time on the beach, played ping pong, even did a puzzle on a rainy day. We all were comfortable with plenty of privacy if we needed it. This is a perfect place for any situation, family gathering, friend get together, or even a romantic hideaway! You have all the amenities and communication couldn’t be better. This is always my go to place for our Charleston visits!!

This is a beautiful, well appointed and maintained home. I would recommend to anyone. Children need to be well behaved as the home is nicely decorated and accessorized. We had an infant and a 4 year old and it worked well. There are lots of games and puzzles to play indoors and out. The screened porch facing the ocean is just amazing.

The security cameras on the back porch (where we sat most of the time) made us feel as if we were being watched by the owner. Several drink bottles left under one of the beds by previous renter and cockroachs in the kitchen. If possible,
I recommend you speak with the owner on the phone prior to renting, so you will know what to expect. I also recommend you video or photograph state of house upon your arrival and upon your departure...just in case.

The house was very nice. and well decorated. Over all very nice. I did have a suggestion for 2 things. In the main room the 2 red chairs need replacing the seats have bottomed out. The sofa and loveseat present a problem I do not know why you would have white fabric and then want people to put a sheat over them. Not very good. The master shower needs a grab bar for safety. TV in master bedroom would work better if the remote had batteries.

Spending the week with our kids and grandkids at Turtle Watch was just wonderful! Plenty of beach toys and chairs, well-equipped kitchen and oh those ocean views! The screen porch was a wonderful spot to hang out when we weren’t at the beach. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Turtle watch is a super clean, beautifully decorated, well located, and comfortable and fun. Has lots of amenities, like boggy boards, chairs to take to the beach, coolers, lots of outdoor and indoor games, lovely screened in porch, great hammocks! You cannot go wrong with Turtle Watch!

We have been to many different beach homes in VA, NC, and SC Turtle Watch is not the largest house that we have been in but it was the cleanest and best equipped. The size of the house was more than adequate for our group of 10. We would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a nice, clean and comfortable house on the oceanfront.

Beautiful home and good location to be near downtown
We had a great time at this home. The home was very clean and organized. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen was fully stocked. I was a little on edge having smaller kids because the house has a lot of breakable glass items. I would recommend purchasing the insurance because it might save you some headache. Owner is very nice but very particular. Location is close to downtown if you like that atmosphere.

I appreciated the labels on the fan switches and the notes in the bedrooms about the items unique to that bedroom, such as the thermostat in the bunk room controls the master bedroom below. With only a week, we couldn't play with all of the toys. Guess we'll have to stay longer next time!

Plenty of room for our party of 10, this house was very clean, extremely well cared for and the owner has thought of so many touches that made it a unique vacation. The games area for the kids under the house was great (putt-putt!), the decor was beautiful and creative, the beds comfortable, the kitchen extremely well stocked…we all had a fantastic, restful time together. It’s rare to find a vacation house that everyone can agree hits all the marks, but this one did. Highly recommend!

We had a great time staying at Turtle watch. We had everything we needed and the beds we comfortable. We recommend this house it's nicely decorated and the guys enjoyed all the games provided, corn hole, ping pong and hillbilly gulf. There was a baby pool for my granddaughter as well. Turtle Watch is an excellent vacation rental. Our family has stayed at many, many oceanfront properties on Folly Beach and this house was a favorite. Plenty of room for our party of 10, this house was very clean, extremely well cared for and the owner has thought of so many touches that made it a unique vacation. The games area for the kids under the house was great (putt-putt!), the decor was beautiful and creative, the beds comfortable, the kitchen extremely well stocked…we all had a fantastic, restful time together. It’s rare to find a vacation house that everyone can agree hits all the marks, but this one did. Highly recommend!
