Seamless and well located near to lively Hongjik Uni district.

The finishings were superb. Very classy feeling in the room. The check in was smooth and we were impressed by the interior decoration which was art deco.

The breakfast should be included in the room rate. A minor quibble. overall a great stay.

Good worth of your money to stay

I had always stayed this hotel everytime i stayed in hongdae. Very convenient place that is near to a lot of food places. Short walk to subway.

the stay is great surely if we visit again we don't mind to put your hotel under our selection

location and room design but there are some effected area in the room need to do touchh up so can enchance the stay and the room design.

The breakfast we very dissapointed cos there is just two selection so we feel very boring for staying there in 7days with the same bbreakfast menu

Fauls Advertising

The room was nice. Comfortable bed and pillows and a stunning view from the toilet

First of all, we picked this hotel because of its close proximity to many sights, markets and the amazingly advertised breakfast. The hotel is located right in the University district and is very busy especially during the weekend and noisy. The room is beautiful, the bed and the pillows are very comfortable. From the toilet you have beautiful views of the city. At our arrival we were informed that the breakfast was limited during the month of July and August to eggs Benedict or fresh toast. The eggs were so undercooked that I ended up with an upset stomach for two days. I spoke to the receptionist that they are advertising an amazing American and Korean breakfast buffet but we only have two choices. I also made them aware that I got sick on the undercooked eggs and if I could have just plain boiled eggs but apparently was too much to ask for. So I spoke to the manager. The next morning I received 2 boiled eggs. I had bought bread, cheese and cold cuts from a near by supermarket. On September 4th I had asked the manager when the breakfast buffet would resume and he replied, maybe next year. But the sign said, in September.. There is a sign in the lobby and Elevator that still have not been updated yet. Also there are trees and plants in the breakfast room and by the lobby that are dead or dying because no one waters them. The hallways to the rooms are so dark. I assume so you can’t see the dirt. The staff (except for the lady receptionist) are not welcoming or friendly. The blond guy in the breakfast room is only in his phone and doesn’t care if there are no napkins or sugar for coffee. He should definitely not be in the service industry. The housekeeper lady is the only stuff member that always is friendly and greets everyone.

9 Brick is a very beautiful and clean hotel. I loved the style of the lobby and of our room!

The bed wasn't soft enough to my personal taste but it was good enough for a good night's sleept still.

The room was beautiful, the bed was very comfortable, lovely bathroom and roof terrace.

the room was overheated (27 degrees!!) & I really struggled to change the temperature. Im the end I opened a window and then was plagued by mosquitoes, even on the 16th floor. I also didn’t realise I had to pre-book breakfast.

Close to transportation and main shopping street in Hongdae.

Doesn’t feel well taken care of. Filthy hallway carpets. Scuffs on walls and furniture. I think this may be more of a party hotel.

Great location!

⭐️ Location was amazing with 3 convenience marts, the best KBBQ & fried chicken right around the corner, and Hongdae shopping street within walking distance! ⭐️ Staff was really nice – after I gave them a call to ask about room cleaning, they made sure to call and check in daily to see if I would need room cleaning. ⭐️ Overall the hotel feels quite new and clean!

🌑 The shower and toilet was separated. There was no place to hang the towel and your clothes near/outside the shower too which makes it more inconvenient. 🌑 If you’re someone who cannot sleep in a noisy environment, this might not be the place for you as even with the windows tightly shut, we can still hear sounds of traffic pretty loudly at night. (It was ok for us though!)

Fantastic location. Great shower!

None of the staff spoke a word of English. While I definitely respect that I was in Korea and Korean is the language, it's a little different in a hotel situation. None of them had a translation app or made any effort to communicate and help.

Made our stay in Hongdae even more amazing.

We stayed at 9Brick Hotel in Hongdae for 6 nights in August 2022. The hotel is fantastic, clean and welcoming. Staff is friendly and polite. We had a room on the 14th floor, which felt more like a small apartment due to the size. The view from the window was lovely, overlooking Hongdae. The room had a little "half floor" with bathroom and in floor bathtub, which was quite fancy, separated by a copper effect wall with the bed, desk and seating downstairs (Giving the room a very nice ceiling height. The bed was very comfortable, and the placement of the AC in the upper part of the room made the room cool without it blowing in your face at night. The neighbourhood of Hongdae is amazing with a ton of bars, cafés, shops and restaurants. Hongik Uni metro station is a stone's throw from the hotel, and has acces to Metro Line 2 which circles around Seoul and the Airport train line, making it a very convenient place to stay. If you're staying in Hongdae, 9Brick hotel is definitely a great option and excellent value for money.
