Mario went out of his way to arrange complementary a transfer from our car rental drop off to the hotel. As the hotel is located right within the palace walls we were met by Toni who assisted with luggage and walked us to the hotel. What preceded can only be described as the best hotel check in I have ever experienced. We were seated in the restaurant and offered complimentary drinks of choice and a plate of prosciutto and cheese to enjoy while we listened to Toni explain the history of Split and highlight the points of interest to see on a map for us. He followed this up with excellent restaurant recommendations. It was like having our own personal tour guide and prepared us well for our adventures in Split. We dined at the hotel restaurant and ordered their signature Lobster Makarun, which was excellent. Mario served us and was attentive and again very generous with complimentary aperitif’s at the start of the meal. A lovely evening and stay, hosted by a family who ate proud of their heritage and genuinely want you to have a wonderful experience.
The stay was perfect, it is like staying with your family that happen to run one of the best restaurants in Split. Don’t come expecting fancy hotel facilities, there are only a handful of modern clean rooms above the restaurant. A stay here is about genuine hospitality not fancy amenities.

Incredible staff- Mario, Toni, and all of the others are the most attentive and caring staff I’ve ever encountered. Especially as a solo traveler, this made my experience a million times better. Beautiful little spot in an insane central location, steps from everything, including the ferries.

Great location and Fantastic service!! Toni met me when I got off the bus and helped with luggage to the hotel. First class experience, super helpful with recommendations and explaining the history of the area. Also checked in daily and organised breakfast to go when I was heading out on an early tour. Nothing was too much trouble, service was exceptional and would highly recommend staying here. Apart arranged a transfer to the airport at the end of my stay, the driver was very knowledgeable and it felt more like a private tour than a transfer. Would stay here again if I return
The bathroom was a wet room so a little inconvenient but that is a personal preference and the exceptional service in general more than made up for it. Would still book here as everything else was fantastic!

A personal welcome, great staff. The hospitality was very warm and the food fantastic. The location was a little oasis within the busy heart of the old town. The balance between running the restaurant and the hotel rooms was spot on.
