As a family of 11 (ages 7 through 78) I was looking for Verona accommodations that would keep us close together within the old city. Renting both of Billie’s apartments was the perfect solution. The apartments are totally updated, classy & delightfully decorated, with everything we needed to spend nearly a week. The location is ideal…close to cafes and restaurants, the outdoor market, Roman arena and piazza, old castle, shopping right out your door. I highly recommend Billi’s Flat White and Flat Red.
The owners of the apartments live in the same building and were on the “highly sensitive” side when it came to being emotionally accommodating to having a family with busy children staying in the building.

Beautiful, interesting and quirky apartment, that was also spacious and well equipped. The location is perfect, a short walk to Piazza Erbe and loads of bars, restaurants, shops and main sights. Billie, our host, was amazing. Great communication, have us loads of good recommendations and was hand when we arrived late and needed to leave early. Couldn't ask for a better host!

The location was great. There were nice touches such as coffee, soaps, etc. The steamer and iron worked great.
Her list of rules was ridiculous. So many
don’ts. One of the reasons I chose the apartment was the nice large kitchen, but when we got there, there were rules that said not to use it for anything other than very light cooking. The oven had a sign in it that said if you didn’t keep it exactly the way it was it was subject to a €100 fine. The dishwasher was off-limits, according to one of her little notes. A balcony that she touted as a beautiful little place to sit had a big sign on it that said not for guest use. The air conditioners were set to keep the air at a temperature that was not comfortable for us, and when we complained, she went to our apartment unannounced and apparently confirmed that the air conditioners were working properly. She advised us if we didn’t like it that we could check out for a full refund, which was not a great solution since everything comparable in Verona at that time was booked. She didn’t offer to give us fans or do anything else to help make us more comfortable. We were in booking.com apartments in Milan and Parma days before and after our stay in Verona and the air conditioners ran beautifully so it wasn’t anything to do with Italian law or the fact that it was a hot time of year. The real kicker was that there was serious construction going on immediately next-door to the unit that began at eight in the morning and continued till about six in the evening. This went on all week long and on Saturday! Jackhammers were going and making a deafening sound that made the apartment basically uninhabitable. When we checked in, Billie advised us that oh my goodness such a surprise to her they just started yesterday. We feel that that was a bit of a joke since the scaffolding had been up and obviously the construction had been ongoing for quite a while. The one main living area was pleasant, but instead of a couch where you and your companions could sit and visit there was a large bed.
