Light and airy space with good views. Neutrally decorated and no knick-knacks. Very comfortable beds. Bed linen made from cotton, good kitchen area. Very happy to visit again
It was easy to collect the key to get in to the house and apartment. To then park the car and work out how to use the entrance from the car-parking side was not quite straightforward. A friendly neighbour helped with another door code, that was needed.

The communal stairwell is quite disconcerting and off putting on arrival. Thankfully the apartment more than makes up.
This coupled with the terrible entrance, scaffolding/general builders mess.

Stayed before. The location is perfect with excellent free parking. Accommodation has everything you may need. Sure the property would benefit from double/triple glazing (main road out front so you can hear the light traffic);but this is a small town so its hardly an issue. Was allowed to arrive early.

We stayed at Frenchgate House for 3 nights. The apartment was clean and well equipped. It has beautiful views over Richmond.
On arrival, we were disappointed to see that the house was being rendered and was covered in scaffolding. Walking into the house was more like walking onto a building site.
In the morning we were woken by builders drilling and banging on our walls from 8:30am!! This was hardly the relaxing break we had anticipated.
Whenever exiting the house, we had to walk underneath scaffolding boards with builders walking above us dropping wet plaster.
We were disappointed and really should have been warned about this in advance of booking.
