we really enjoyed ourselves! I was a little disappointed in the gift shop and the price of the shuttle! for that price o
Scenery was great! no one bothering me to buy stuff while I relax. The night show was awesome! hot tub and service was awesome! They had a water taxi but we didn’t have the time to take advantage of. The room was cute and comfortable. Enjoyed the cool a/c! the scuba diving adventure was phenomenal!
the property was ok. the prices were ridiculous, gift shop was outrageously high, the food prices were high! the road getting to it was terrible, the shuttle price ride to and from airport was ridiculous, would have been better off renting my own car.

Everything was wonderful up until the last hour.
We got the best room at the hotel, wide and expansive balcony flank by mature trees with view of the ocean. The view is fabulous and we didn't see the point of leaving room for anything. Bird watching while suntanning right from our balcony! The food at the restaurant was really good and you can order full menu and wine by the bottle for your room service. It is the best hotel on the island in term of location, design layout, art works, decoration. Service staff are wonderful and would go out of their way to make your stay memorable. For our last day on the island we wanted to get a rental car just to cruise around the island, but there was several issues with the car rental company causing them to unable to deliver our rental to the hotel in a timely manner. As the last ditch effort to get us a car, the hotel staff drove us in her own vehicle to pick up our rental car at the airport. If that's not the definition of dedication to service, I don't know what is.
Housekeeping could have been more attentive and clean up the red wine splashed (I hope it was red wine) on the sliding vinyl door frame. Somehow that got missed at every cleaning. Then again, she was probably too busy checking out the content of our safe and help herself to a little extra tip. We're one of those weirdo who travel with cash to pay for ALL expenses even though we're fully aware of the hotel policy of not being responsible for content placed in the safe. Our safe stop working on the morning we were to check out and housekeeper had to open the safe for us. This is not the first time I needed a hotel staff to open the safe for me. Normally 2 staff would shows up to unlock the safe and never fully open the safe door to where the opener can see the content. The opener of the safe usually stand to the side while the 2nd staff observe him. This time it was a housekeeper who show up and I could not see what she was doing since the safe was tiny and her body fully blocked my view, but by the time she got up to leave the door to the safe was fully open and there was 2 batteries removed from the 4 batteries operated lock. Most people would probably just get the content and leave, but we were on our way to check out so we decided to count the all the cash we had with us. A single $20 bill was missing from each stack of our cash totaling $60 We use the same money counting machine used in most bank and we also hand counted the cash prior to leaving our home. There's no way we could have accidentally taken a bill from the stacks since we keep the stacks separate from daily spending money while on the moves and only working on one stack at any given time. We have no prove of who actually taken the cash, but we know it wasn't us nor was it and accident. It's not the missing money that upset me, it was the trust that was broken. The hotel also have limit on how much cash we can use to pay our bill, which is somewhat understandable.

lovely experience ruined by fraudulent excess charges
beautiful location, lovely room, good food and staff that were pleasant during our stay. however, they fraudulently charged my credit card after my departure, claiming I had stolen a beach bag and laundry bag from my room. these objects were never in my room and they stopped responding after taking the money from my credit card
housekeeping was acceptable at best. hidden addition of 12% service charge on room (additional to service charge in restaurants and bar). these would have been acceptable had the front desk not charged my credit card after my departure for what they claimed were missing amenities that were never even present in our room on check in. our otherwise delightful stay there has been ruined by this and I therefore wouldn’t recommend staying here again. I wouldn’t trust the hotel with my credit card.

A beautiful boutique hotel with incredible service
Amazing room, beautiful architecture, very comfortable and the balcony with the bed was lovely. The food was very good and the people were all so friendly and helpful. Wonderful service and always nice to chat with people there. The pool area was so relaxing and pretty and I loved the champagne toast at sunset each night. You really did feel like family by the end of the stay.
The beach area right in front of the hotel has dark sand and some mud as you enter the water so it wasn't the pretty blue water and white sand that you find at West Bay beach. However, it was private and not crowded at all in front of our hotel. We normally enjoy taking long walks down the beach but with the bridge and rocky areas, this was a bit less pleasant. The sand fleas and mosquitos were also pretty bad, but bug spray helped.

Amazing property and over the top service
The hotel is amazing. It’s the ONLY luxury hotel in Roatan, huge rooms, excellent service. The dive shop is excellent! There are no children running around which makes for a nice adult holiday. The hotel provides a free shuttle to the beautiful (but chaotic) beach in West Bay which is a plus.
The hotel has no activities other than diving. The beach although swimmable, is not attractive due to the sea grass from the reef. The hotel pools are chlorinated; a salt water pool would be much nicer. The restaurant is mostly good but very expensive; a more diversified menu would be an improvement. We spent 10 nights there and the menu never changed. Overall, it was a fabulous stay but with some room for improvement. The staff is amazing! The owners were onsite during our visit and they were very receptive to our recommendations and I believe that they will do what’s needed to make Ibagari the best hotel in Roatan!

Exceptional
Ibagari was truly the cherry on top of our 3 week stay in Roatan. I have never been more impressed with a hotel and all of their amenities. All the staff (hotel and dining) were truly amazing people and I can't wait to return!! From the sunset cheers to our own private hot tub, this place was a little bit of heaven in a tumultuous time. So much thanks to so many people for making me so happy. You are all amazing!!!
