We stayed for seven nights, and we have never had such a wonderful vacation. The food is fantastic, and there is no chance of going hungry. The view from the bungalow is stunning, and the river excursions are teeming with birds and other wildlife; there is always something to see, yet the experience remains relaxing. Everyone is incredibly welcoming and treats you like family. We could have stayed for weeks! If you are looking for a wonderful nature experience in the Amazon, this is the place to go. This location—and the people—were the highlight of our trip through the Amazon!

Our stay in July at Alta Vista Amazon Lodge was absolutely amazing! We are a family of four (two adults and our 19- and 22-year-old kids) and rented the Bungalow. The Bungalow had a spectacular balcony with an unobstructed view of the river, making it the perfect place to relax and take in the beauty of the Amazon. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the air conditioning was very much appreciated after a day of exploring. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all outstanding. The wide variety of dishes allowed us to discover many delicious Brazilian and Amazonian specialties. The lodge grounds are beautiful, with lush trees, colorful flowers, and several inviting areas equipped with hammocks and lounge chairs where guests can unwind and enjoy nature. Being family-owned gives the lodge a warm, authentic atmosphere that made our experience even more special. Danielho, the owners' son, was our fantastic English-speaking guide and our go-to person throughout our stay. It was a true pleasure to discover the Amazon with him. His mother, Maria, is an absolute delight, and everyone we met, from the driver and the cook to Danielho's father made us feel genuinely welcome. Everything was perfect from start to finish. We would recommend Alta Vista Amazon Lodge without the slightest hesitation.

We spent 3 fantastic nights at this wonderful family run lodge. There were two tours a day, wonderful home cooked meals and seamless transfers all included in the price. The lodge is the only one in this region and as a result felt unspoilt. The rooms and garden are lovely with lots of outdoor space to chill between tours including hammocks and long chairs overlooking the river. We saw squirrel monkeys, sloths, iguanas, piranhas, countless birds and grey and pink river dolphins. Danilo is a passionate, personable and knowledgeable guide and his mother runs a wonderful kitchen. It felt like being guests in a family home. I recommend Alta Vista lodge very highly - we were really sorry to leave and share fond and fantastic memories.

Extremely friendly staff and the owners are very kind and helping. Danilo, his parents and Edilene and Pedro have made our stay very comfortable and memorable! We have an allergy to gluten and wheat and they were able to adjust to our needs, showing the extra mile they put into their guests, which made us very happy. We stayed in one of the chalets and it was perfect. The areas of the lodge are gorgeous with a lot of animals to see and places to relax. Thank you!
