Very enjoyable stay at Pier Road Cottage. Had all the facilities needed for short stay.

Location was perfect if you wish to climb Croagh Patrick.

Bathroom downstairs is not ideal.

Pleasant

The location was excellent nestled between Croagh Patrick and Clew Bay. The whole area was beautiful. Also there is a really good pub/restaurant within walking distance of the property.

The bed, sofa, shower and tv were all very basic. Having only a microwave oven, no full oven limited our cooking choices. Having to go downstairs from the bedroom to the bathroom was not ideal.

What a great place to stay and hosts were so accommodating. Due to unforseen circumstances I had to amend dates and hosts facilitated with no hassle at all. They had thought of everything like milk in the fridge, a packet of lovely chocolate biscuits on arrival, a folder of how to use all the appliances and many brochures of things to do. It was spotlessly clean. The only reason I gave a 9 instead of a 10 is due to location but that is very subjective as it totally depends on what location means. We were climbing Croagh Patrick so it was ideal for that. It is more so for people who don't have a car. I will definitely be back again.

I actually don't think there is anything I didn't like apart from I would have liked to go out for a few drinks in Westport but it was a little too far out for me. But again hands down to the hosts as they had left taxi numbers and all there for us. We just didn't avail of taxis.

Great accommodation in a beautiful place with lots of activities and an interesting town.

Location is fantastic- so much to see and do. Great for nature lovers and outdoor activities. Westport is a vibrant town and has a theatre and evening entertainment with good cafes. Very hospitable hosts

Settee was a bit uncomfortable at the cottage. Kept falling down the side. However, two other chairs were available.

We didn’t want to leave!

The cottage was cleaner than some 5 star hotels we’ve been in! Everything is thought of by the hosts and upon reading reviews before we arrived we could see that the owners had taken on feedback and had a cosy blanket on the couch, water provided and other amenities like coffee, milk, shower gel etc. Plenty of towels, bed was so comfy. We enjoyed hiking and some downtime in the cosy cottage. It’s also a short drive to Westport and only 15min walk to Croagh Patrick. We didn’t meet the hosts, got keys in a lockbox but I loved that it was so private. We will definitely be back!

We spent evenings watching tv and TV was a bit small but that’s being picky!

Fantastic Break from the City

-The tap water was brownish, it is advisable to drink bottled water.

-Location. Croagh Patrick is at a walking distance. -Scenery. Mountains on one side, ocean on the other, and green all around you. -Quiet. -Netflix. -Electric radiators.

Super location excellent accommodation and very nice hosts.

Excellent location super hosts clean and tidy with plenty of towels etc. Would definitely stay here again.

Very good

Location perfect for climbing and cycling. Your own accommodation on a shared property. Host was met briefly and had a guide to “all you need to know” about the area. Would definitely check availability on the next trip to Westport.
