Well priced beautiful clean room in a lovely location- handy for Stratford upon Avon. Quiet with a very comfortable bed. The man who booked us in was really friendly and helpful. The food in the pub smelt great but unfortunately we didn’t have time to eat as we were going to theatre. Electric car chargers too!

Self serve for cereal and coffee. Waiter service for cooked breakfast. Very nice.

Staircase to bedrooms quite narrow and steep. Other than that, all ok.

The location was refreshingly rural with an outdoor area to eat, drink, or just relax. The carpark was large with an EV charging station. The staff were friendly and professional. Our room was comfortable and the shower was great! Full English breakfast was very nice to set us up for exploring the area.

The dinner option was nice, the rooms was scenic, breakfast nice. Nice size of the bathroom, nice shower, cosy room. Clean and modern.

it was cold in the room and the pillow were a bit too stiff, but that is a personal reference

Food was good but expensive to eat there every night. Staff very friendly nothing too much trouble. Would stay again.

No wardrobes or coat hangers in bedrooms. Pillows and mattress need protectors on them.

Bed was really uncomfortable, breakfast was disappointing

The room was wonderful, really clean with excellent furnishings including a full size TV. The bathroom was equally as good with a lovely shower.

The only thing that didn’t suit us was the food. We tried 2 of the vegetarian dinners and the vegetarian breakfast but wasn’t blown away by any of them.

A beautiful old pub, food was excellent & staff very friendly.

The green safety light in the bedroom, we appreciated why it was there but it made the bedroom too bright for us to sleep,we had to dim it using a t shirt which helped. would visit again with an eye mask just incase.

The food was good, although breakfast service was slow.

The room heating was off on arrival and when it was put on it didn't warm the room up until late in the evening. The staircase to the bedrooms needs extreme care - narrow, steep and requires a proper handrail that doesn't catch fingers.

Breakfast was amazing, had a meal the night before and was very nice.

The fire door through to the bar area was locked overnight till almost 8am so we couldn't go for a cigarette, luckily there wasn't a fire

As there was a death in the family we were unable to make the trip . However we were still charged for the accommodation despite us giving you as much notice as we possibly could you blame booking .com and they blame you

Everything was spot on, nice room, clean, friendly staff. Great meal and wonderful atmosphere.

Good location for Stratford..... watched two plays there and The Blue Boar was a good base. Had dinner on one evening which was very good with a nice range of choices.

As with many places now in the hospitality industry, they seemed to be under-staffed but the staff there were were very good.

Lovely little pub ithat served really good food.

The room was a lot smaller than I expected. We stayed in room 3. The TV on the wall was tiny, the blinds didn't go all the way to the bottom so had car headlights shining in the room all night. Also the blinds were covered in dust. There was a small step leading into the small bathroom which we tripped over several times. We were given no details on check in about breakfast times or checkout. The evening meal was outstanding and the blonde haired lady couldn't do enough. We asked at the bar for breakfast time etc and were told incorrect times., as we found out in the morning. The lady in the breakfast room humiliated us in front of everyone who was there eating breakfast. The owner then offered to make us breakfast but after the embarrassment and awkwardness we just wanted to leave ASAP. Very disappointed with our stay certainly not worth £145 a night.

The helpfulness of the staff and the location I also enjoyed the food , very tasty . I think they must be fortunate to have a very good in house chef .

Unfortunately there had been some breakdown in communication in the booking system. My friend had been very ill and had mobility difficulties . The Blue Boar aware and had written saying they were booking the downstairs disabled room for her . When I arrived this room had already been given to some other people ( I don’t think disabled ) . No fault of staff , it had been allocated to other people on the booking system . Fortunately my friend a bit stronger and was able to manage the stairs but it could have been disastrous! Staff were brilliant and did as much as possible to make things as easy as possible for her stay . Couldn’t fault them .
