Property is impressive, breakfast was terrific, room was comfortable.
Getting to and from the hotel was a serious challenge for a North American rental car driver. There is basically no parking at or near the hotel, so a map to the parking garage is offered, and I found it pretty much impossible to navigate. I'm abbreviating a longer story. Unfortunately, the parking experience is the thing I will remember most vividly about the Palacio and Caceres, despite the excellent treatment we received from the staff.

Quiet hotel right in the centre of the old town. Comfortable bed, good sized bathroom, and lots of restaurants nearby to choose from (including the hotel restaurant).
Gym is fairly limited and only has a few machines

It was a beautiful hotel located in the historic section of Caceres- very easy walking distance to the medieval quarter. It was on a plaza with restaurants and a church.
Ah the location...is beautiful but challenging to reach due to the very small streets. I recommend arriving during daylight hours so you can see where you are going.
