The facilities

The blinds in the bedroom are not blockout and make the apartment hot, no air con in bedroom. The bbq on the top level hadn’t been cleaned in what looked like years - when I asked about it at reception they stated that it wasn’t apart of the accommodation - yet it is private and accessible- for nearly $500 a night the apartment is tired and run down

comfortable but not good value for money

the proximity to the beach was great, pool excellent and amenity was great.

room was very small and dated for the price. Check in was late and we had to wait, staff did offer free drinks vouchers. Restaurant closed at 9, food was ok. Only one roll of toilet paper which was weird. aircon was very weird.

The Ramada is the perfectly located hotel with excellent service and amenities

Great hotel in perfect location. The pool is heated, very spacious and well maintained. Room with ocean/ pool view is amazing. The Surf Air restaurant has great meals and a good variety of drinks. Very friendly and helpful staff. Always worth a start at beautiful Ramada in Marcoola.

Great location, so close to beach with lots of shops around. Great pool & restaurant. Our unit was perfect! Recently renovated, beach view! We all loved it.

Convenient to SC airport

Firstly we stayed in the older hotel rooms at the front overlooking the airport. These room have had one renovation since their initial build. They are in line for a renovation soon. The remainder of the stay we moved to a self contained one bedroom unit in the newer section. This was good . The on site restaurant and bar have very value for money meals and beverages. The pool is a welcome provision after a warm day on the nearby beach. Across the road from the hotel you will find a nice assortment of coffee shops and quick meals.

The lack of air conditioners in the bedroom areas. The Sunshine coast can get very humid and we had to depend on the air conditioner in the lounge and a pedestal fan in the bedroom. The unit's kitchen needed more pots and pans provided in order to use the oven or microwave. The tvs were difficult to use.

Entire apartment needed refurbishment. Air conditioning noise from ducting over the main bedroom was unbearable. No sleep! No air conditioning in the rooms. Vent not working in second bathroom...All the issues were tactfully reported to the manager. We have had no further correspondence from him. Pool area did not have sufficient seating for patrons.

A Horrifying Incident in the hotel Ramada Marcoola

We liked the swimming pool, proximity to the beach, trails for jogging, helpful and understanding staff.

There was a terrible situation that happened to us during our stay at Ramada Marcoola Beach. We had a room 1207 B with a shared corridor with another room 1207 A. A relatively young woman stayed next to our room, and her behavior was beyond inappropriate. The first evening and night, she was walking loudly back and forth, slamming doors and by 11 PM, she started listening and singing along to terrible loud music. The next night, around 2 A.M., we woke up from screaming coming from her room. She was arguing loudly with a man, who was yelling at her, "YOU B... I WILL KILL YOU." They both were badly intoxicated by drugs. That night, we smelled poisonous fumes coming from her room to ours, and my partner collapsed on the bathroom floor, losing consciousness. It was the most horrifying situation seeing your partner almost dying before your eyes. I called hotel security, complained about the noise and domestic violence going on next door. A security officer came promptly. The woman next door opened the door and said they were fine, but the security officer smelled a terrible odor from her room. I showed her the video footage I took behind the door of our room, capturing the man and woman fighting and screaming. She couldn't believe her ears. The security officer reported the incident and moved us to another room far away from the intoxicated couple. We couldn't fall asleep due to being so agitated. It took almost 3 hours for my partner to fully recover from being poisoned by the narcotics coming from the next-door woman's room. That was a hellish night. We stayed in room 1207 B, while the troubled next-door woman stayed in room 1207 A. We stayed in the hotel from February 8th to February 11th, 2024. Other than that terrible ordeal, everything was quite fine. We wanted to thank staff of the hotel for being understanding and attentive. We loved the Sunshine Coast so much 🌞, and we will surely come back

Location on Beach and Excellent Facilities.

Attended for wedding….lovely location , food excellent , so tasty and fresh and staff so friendly. Hotel Room was well appointed and ever so comfortable.

Had call security for noise with music and loud talking at midnight .

The bistro has nice food.

All of it. It was a rip off. Nothing like the photos. Parking was a nightmare. They don't even make up the rooms.

Nice location on the beach with a big pool to swim in too.

The property was located next to the beach which was great for easy access. The pool is nice and big and the surrounds are nicely maintained.

The room was tiny and needs renovating, the furniture and fixtures are all old and dated.

Ok but not going back in a hurry sorry I though it would have been much better

That I though it would have had a better aircon that did not leak and was so noisy the bricks were all wet the toilet seat was old and I stayed here when it was surfair and it was bad then and you can not turn off aircon because the slide in door does not have screens over priced not sure why it has become a Ramada not really up there normal stand

The room was super smelly. There was mold In the vent. The room smelt like mold and cigarettes. We had to spray it everytime we came back just so we could stand the smell.

Lovely spot, great staff and restaurant, modern (ish) apartments

We stayed a week for our wedding, we started off with a large 3 bedroom apartment and moved into a two bedroom after the wedding.

Didn’t realise that there are three towers, we had guests everywhere so it would have been ideal if we were all in the same tower. Also no block out blinds so you are up every morning around 4.30am and with little kids this isn’t great.

Very Spacious Room with a balcony overlooking the sea front. Very close to beach within 2-5 min walking from the Hotels swimming pool. Staff very polite and friendly. Location close to beach and airport and a Uber away from Australia Zoo.

Bitter sweet - unapologetic, not what we expected.

proximity to the beach and to the massage and beauty business downstairs, reception was clean and the restaurant ( separate owners like the massage and beauty business) were great.

Tower 2 - The room was old, no phone inside the room, hallway carpets had a damp smell, were not informed of what tower we were staying at, had to find out ourselves, paid for a late 12pm sleep in / late checkout and had a tradesman try and enter our room at 8am day of check out, who was as shocked as we were asleep in bed, no security locks on the doors and no signage to place on the door for room cleaning. Reception had on their system that we had late checkout but gave to keys to the tradie anyway. Upon checking out ( now 10am NOT 12) as we were now awake from the entry to our room, we went to reception to check out and to complain, the receptionist apologized but the tradie wanted to have a assertive discussion with me about not swearing at us when he found out we were there, he then decided to argue with us in-front of management now and had a laugh with reception on his way upstairs, at no time did management or reception address his behavior, they appeared to laugh along with him. EXTREMELY bad experience. The total experience was terrible, we wont be back.

Lovely hotel near the airport.

Lovely comfortable unit. I checked in at night and was able to get takeaway dinner from the restaurant onsite. There was also seating available. The food was really nice. The room was small in size but had a comfy bed and a small kitchen area to make a cuppa. I left early the next morning so I couldn't see the view but the water sounded very close to I am sure it would have been amazing too. A great room for one or two people. Great location for a quick overnight near the airport.

The room was a little smaller than expected though. As it was windy the windows and doors vibrated all night.
