The room was clean although a bit dated. Bathroom was clean and modern.
The lady that showed us to room was very friendly and explained all to us.
The entrance to car park extremely narrow and with a big car couldn’t enter. This should be known on information about hotel when booking.
I tried ringing hotel 3 times between 11 am and 6pm first was about alternative car park, the last 2 about a late check in. No answer on any of the calls. I also messaged and emailed with no response.
Disappointed to find the breakfast included was only continental and a cooked breakfast not available until after 10am. Not sure this was clear when booked.

The room (single) was very comfortable, a good bed, good shower, enough storage space, a desk & chair, tea/coffee. Although there was no cooked breakfast, the buffet breakfast provided was excellent. The hotel is very well situated in the centre of Crickhowell, ideal for walking in the Black Mountains. General stores and a choice of cafes very nearby.
The room (19, ground floor in the annex) was very noisy - creaking from the floor above & noises from the beer cellar immediately outside.
The parking is accessed via a very narrow passage - not suitable for wide vehicles or nervous drivers.
No vegetarian option on the menu.

Very difficult to find a positive
Room was an attic room - very hot - I am tall no static shower banging head No a/c
Booking with breakfast - then told was continental! Cooked had to pay extra! Stayed 3 nights 2nd morning breakfast had little choice other than toast - staff very matter of fact - asked off ice and was given, but made aware not a lot a lot available .
