We enjoyed our weekend at this property. The house was comfortable and the campfire, lake and property were beautiful and quiet - very relaxing.

Everything about this little cabin was wonderful. Peaceful, picturesque setting and perfectly quiet to de-stress. Will definitely come back.

All in all, we enjoyed our stay. Note to next person, when coming to this house, come in the daylight. It was very private and secluded and had everything we needed.

Peaceful fishing, swimming and boating close enough to all the hiking attractions. We plan on returning.

The property was run down and sketchy.
Had a hard time figuring out any electrical outlets.
Could only run a few appliances at a time, the 3rd floor was controlled by a light switch in the second floor.
There was black mold in the shower that I had to clean before we could use the shower. And even with cleaner and a brush it was still gross in the shower.
The kitchen was nearly non functional, could only run one appliance at a time, the lighting was horrible.
It felt like there were cameras watching our every move and it was unsettling.
I WILL NEVER STAY AT A PROPERTY OF THE HOST AGAIN

This was a perfect cabin for our family. Our 2 teenage boys loved it. It was very clean and cozy. The fishing was amazing the boys also loved the paddle boat. Catch and release of the fish was so much fun. We would definitely come back again.

We were booked for two nights, but had to leave after the first night, due to needed repairs. The cabin is rustic, as advertised, with a nook for a kitchen, but we didn’t want to cook, so that was fine, but the microwave couldn’t be run at the same time as the coffeemaker or toaster oven. There were notes in the kitchen to tell us that. There was a note in the upstairs bath to not use the toilet because it was out of order, so we needed to go down two flights of stairs during the night to use the toilet. When I used the shower in the upstairs bath, water gushed through the ceiling of the downstairs bath, and if another person hadn’t been in the downstairs bath at the same time, no one would have seen it and it could have been a disaster. This leaked from the shower drain, not from water splashing outside the closed door. This was at 1:00 am, so I called the owner in the morning, and he was very nice and refunded our night and found us another cabin for our second night that was wonderful. My discontent stems from the fact that he knew he had a plumbing problem and rented it to us anyway. Another suggestion is that cleaning be more thorough and remove some of the rustic decor, which makes the place appear cluttered.
The owner was responsive to our dilemma and courteous, but the cabin should not have been rented in that condition.

My husband and I booked this cabin for our 30th anniversary. We really enjoyed the location which was out away in the woods with a pond. We brought two inflatable boats and floated around the pond relaxing and enjoying the scenery. The cabin is adorable and we really liked the furnishings. Lots of things to do nearby. We hiked a few times, went zip-lining, visited a few flea markets, and checked out the restaurants. There is no stove, but there is an electric skillet for boiling or frying food, a toaster oven, coffee maker, microwave, and refrigerator. Do need to bring your own towels. Hoping to bring our kids sometime so they can enjoy it too.

Awesome little cabin in the hills ! Very quiet and secluded and the kids caught big bluegill the entire time. Property manager was helpful and replied quickly when I needed him ! WiFi signal was strong and much needed out there ! We had a blast and will definitely check to see if it’s available next time we’re down ! The road to the cabin is a little rough but my truck made it fine !

House was more than enough for us and our two teens. It was clean and comfy, although the kitchen leaves something to be desired. If the weather is nice and you plan accordingly, you won’t need to cook indoors but not having a stove during wet weather would’ve been an issue when cooking a family sized meal. Luckily, the weather was great and we spent most of our time there fishing off the dock or in the peddle boat. Sidenote: easy fishing for little ones! The blue gill are lucky it was catch and release. Great quick weekend away.

This sweet cabin was just perfect for our family of 4. The location - remote and quiet - was just what we wanted.
Our kids loved the loft bedroom with the twin beds, and the master bedroom with the king bed was comfortable and spacious.
I will say that the downstairs was a bit short, and the kitchen a bit small, for my 6'8" hubby, but was perfect for my 5'2" self. :)
Only notes were that the toilets didn't flush well, but I did bring that to the property owner's attention upon leaving (we had a short stay so didn't feel the need to bring it up sooner), and the wiring was a bit tricky - finding the switches and what went to which lights, etc.
My husband and kids LOVED fishing (and tossing back) in the adjacent pond, and we got to see a lot of wildlife in the area. The drive and the location were just beautiful. We would stay here again, and would recommend to others!
Upon leaving, we hiked The Old Man's Cave, which wasn't far from the cabin, and it was breathtaking! We recommend that as well!

This was a great place so peaceful. And the pictures don’t do this place any justice! It’s beautiful! And the property manager is super at responding with anything you need or any questions! We will definitely be back thanks for the amazing memories! My daughter even caught her first fish and we threw him back in for someone else to enjoy catching.

Overall it was nice and peaceful. A few things could have been better the fire pit could have been cleaned up and available for guest to use the gas grill had propane but would not stay lit.there was an old swing out back that would have been great if it was out in the yard and it had an swing in it so the guests could have enjoyed it.the place was clean and tidy inside and very cozy 😀

We enjoyed the pond and paddle boat at the property as well as the outdoor fire pit. The cabin itself is in need of some updates. There is no stove. The living room furniture is uncomfortable and the shower is tiny! The biggest problem we had were wasps inside the cabin! We killed 17 of them while we were staying there for 3 days. I did communicate this to the property manager who informed me they spray every 2 weeks. However I think they will need to take a more extensive look at the property as it seems there is a nest in the walls.

Cute little cabin, about 25 minutes from all trails. Easy to find, secluded enough for a peaceful stay. No cell service. Kitchen is not ideal for cooking. Nice furniture, cute decor, plenty of space, master is huge, comfy beds, but not as clean as I would prefer. It is nicer than the pictures look but I had to pull hair out of the shower drain from previous renters and use the Clorox wipes I brought to wipe down a few things. The bathroom could definitely be updated but it’s functional. This is a great place for a quick weekend if you are spending the majority of your time outside and planning on eating out. We would stay here again.

While this is an older building, it was clean and comfortable. Unfortunately, the property itself is being neglected--an old swing rotting outside the window, broken decking by the pond, and other signs.

I received an email stating that I would get the key code the night before check in. I actually received it the morning of the day I was checking in. It wouldn’t have been a big deal except they didn’t tell us to bring our own towels until they sent the key code and we were already on our way since we had a 6 hour drive. We planned to horse back ride before we checked in so we didn’t show up until after 5:00. We didn’t realize how far away everything would be from the cabin, so we drove 35 min to find some dinner. We didn’t get back to the cabin until late. We just went to bed. We woke up to cockroaches in the bed with us and cockroaches running around the cabin. We decided to just grab our stuff and leave. I have dealt with cockroaches in the past and didn’t want to risk taking them home with me. They are very hard to get rid of. I contacted Abdul the property manager and he tried telling me that they were stink bugs and gave the excuse that we were in the country. I let him know that I’m from Kentucky and very much a country girl. I also sent him pictures of the cockroaches and he still tried to lie and say they were stink bugs. My husband then calls him and Abdul finally admitted that they did spray the house for roaches, the conversation got a little heated because he was trying to gaslight us. He ended up hanging up on us.
The Cabin was cute and we would have definitely enjoyed our time if they didn’t have a cockroach problem.
If your looking to do activities just know that the cabin is pretty far away from everything and a lot of driving will be involved.

We really enjoyed our visit here. It's far away from crowds and noise, but close enough to get to parts of Hocking Hills within 10 minutes. Abdul, the owner, was friendly and very responsive with any questions. The setting by the pond is very peaceful. No road noise, no light pollution, just peaceful quiet.
The beds were comfortable. The kitchen is limited, but we didn't come to cook a gourmet dinner!
All in all, we were quite satisfied and hope to come back again.

Nice location, quiet and tranquil. Clean and comfortable beds. Most things you need are there. You're 25 minutes away from old man's cave and other great hiking spots. Lancaster golf club is nice and also about 25 minutes away (good rates also). Caught a fair amount of blue gill and one small bass. Standard issue park style grill works well. Very much recommended. Abdul the owner is very responsive.
