Fantastic location. Close to train station, shops, eatery, chemist and everything you could need.
No air conditioning in bedroom. There was a fan l, but it did t help when there were 4 of us in the room. Lots of stairs to get to apartment and no elevator. Some warning would have been nice. Maybe I just didn’t read it

Three levels of security seemed complicated but was actually easy to use. Lots of space and refrigerator was huge.
Third floor was tough to get luggage up to but was far easier to depart.

It is cozy, has a lot of what you would need for a short stay, I especially value the small stuff like salt, detergent, shampoo, etc, even if I didn’t need them now. Location is nice, quiet, close to supermarket, couple of minutes to Mestre train station. Host is very nice, responsive, careful, always taking care of their guests.
The house has 3 floors, with no elevator. Discuss with host if this is an issue with you.
Pictures in the description are a mix of multiple apartments, you may not get the exact one you liked.

The apartment was clean. Self check in was pretty easy (although the buttons for the pin pads need some getting used to, you hsve to go very slow). The property manager responded quickly. It was pretty quiet, with the windows were closed.
Very close to the train station into Venice.
The space is not comfortable for more than 2 people/adults. The photos and space is advertised as having a king bed, twin bed, and sofa bed. There was no twin bed and the main bedroom had a couch and a queen size bed. They owner made up the sofa bed, but that restricted us from using the couch. The sofa bed was too soft and you sink into it. The main bed was comfortable though
The bathroom is extremely tight. If you have long legs, you will not fit on the toilet. You have to turn sideways on it. As well as the sink. You have to open the shower door to use the sink to wash your face or brush your teeth because it is too narrow. The shower also leaks onto the floor near the door, so you have to keep an extra towel down.
The AC did not work properly. We tried all possible settings. Even on the lowest temperature and maximum fan speed, it did not cool down the apartment well. It felt like it was on the lowest possible fan setting that barely moved the air around. We kept the blinds closed during the day so it didnt warm up. The temperature outside during the day was about 33C. We used the fan they provided to help cool it down, but it really only helped one room at a time. We really don't like to use AC too much, just a tiny bit, and it was too warm for us and difficult to sleep in those conditions.
The area did not feel very safe to walk around at night, many homeless people and people just loitering on the street corners suspiciously, also drinking and littering.
They charge a €40 cleaning fee and €4 city tax/ person/day. Looking at other properties in the area, this is very high, so Im not sure how they calculated that (similar properties were 1 or 2 euros per night). I asked for details and they gave me a general answer. I should have looked closer at this before booking, so thats my fault for not doing my research better.
