We had a very pleasant stay at Silken Hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was convenient for getting around Taipei. It was a nice, quiet place to come back to after long days of sightseeing and shopping. Overall, a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
Nothing major that we didn’t like. We were just a little surprised that there wasn’t much closet or drawer space to unpack and store our clothes, especially for a longer stay. Otherwise, we were very comfortable.

Has tea and water
Hot or cold (depending on time of day) water pressure is very questionable. Sometimes it barely drips. Sometimes it has pressure after 5 min, sometimes I get tired of waiting and use whatever temperature I get.
Phone rang 3 times in the morning, as loud as fire alarm. This is their way of pushing you to check out ASAP. I am ready to checkout on time and as always I did check out at 11:55, 5 min before checkout time. The receptionist argued with me about this practice and did not apologize. No other hotel has this hostile practice in my experience in Taipei or elsewhere, even much cheaper ones. In any serious hotel this is called “wake up service”, and it requires explicit consent of the customer. In fact it has not happened before in this hotel either. This hotel is distributing to me now and I would avoid it.
The ceiling is too low for a tall person.
You can hear people next door coming in and out and talking noisily in the morning, no soundproofing.
