Let’s face it: when you think of Istanbul, Tuzla isn’t the first placename that comes to mind. Yet this Holiday Inn puts it firmly on your mental map even if you’re only here with a brief visit to fly out from Sabiha Gökçen; everything here is very good. Rooms are spotless and comfortable, bathrooms clean and fresh, breakfast plentiful and staff ever so helpful.
Try to get the sea view rooms if you can—a rainy morning over the busy Tuzla Bay is like a painting that you’ll take away with you no matter how short your stay.
