The staff at the hotel were just delightful. There was a vibe to the place I quite liked and it is in a very peaceful setting with so much within walking distance to include Taichung Park. Stores and places to eat were even closer.

Quiet and clean. Compact but efficient. It is along a shady street with canal and walkable to mall and night market in 20 minutes.
Coffee in room did not taste good, because it had sugar and powder milk in it. Sugar and milk should be provided separately for tea and coffee. Coffee at reception desk too costly, it should not be more than 50 ntd.. Convenience store coffee is cheaper and within a block of the hotel.

Very nice to have a common area where you can dine/have breakfast. Rooms are nice too, style wise, and beds are very comfortable. Staff was very helpful. Good location too. We really liked the place.
Not well insulated, you can hear the noise from the hall or other rooms' doors. And as we've seen various times in Taiwan, the blinds don't actually block the light so 6:30am the room was very bright which makes it hard to sleep (for us at least).

The location is good. There is a big parking nearby. The hotel refunds you up to 150$ per night if you provide receipts.
I expected more. The whole building is a bit dilapidated on the outside. Bathroom was so so. There was this strange opening in the ceiling with some garbage in there.
