Perfect size cottage for two people, very clean and comfortable and only 2 minutes walk from the town centre with plenty of shops, pubs, restaurants and market stalls etc with plenty to see and do in Skipton. Beautiful woodland walks almost on the doorstep. Everything we needed was included with the option of a private parking space a short walk away, the owner lives across the road and was available should we need anything, kept in contact via phone informing us when the cottage was available etc. Wi-Fi and Sky TV is included. You can pull up outside the front door to drop suitcases etc.

You can expect road noise during the day as it is situated on a busy road but that drops off during the night, did not bother us at all

Pretty interiors, kitchen well equipped. Beautiful woods 5 minutes walk away. Excellent bakery and wine merchants close by. Comfortable bed and invigorating shower. Skipton is well served by trains and buses.

Inevitable drawback is noise from passing cars. But didn't stop us sleeping fine after energetic days.

Beautiful cottage in excellent location.

• Pinfold Cottage was the perfect place for us to spend Christmas • Great location with restaurants and bars, shops in walking distance • Beautifully decorated cottage with lots of character and interesting features throughout. • Well equipped kitchen and although compact we had everything we needed to prepare a full Christmas dinner • Lots of games, books, magazines provided • Comfortable bed with TV in the bedroom as well as the lounge • Modern, clean bathroom with roomy shower and lots of lovely, thick towels provided.

We arrived on Christmas Eve to a freezing cold and dark cottage. Apparently the central heating boiler had been switched off by the previous occupants. The radiator in the lounge had also been turned off, although we didn't discover this until the following day. The owner was very apologetic and provided us with a small bucket of coal for the multi-fuel fire. Unfortunately we couldn't get warm enough in the lounge and ended up going to bed to watch TV as the bedroom was a lot warmer. A check by the owner that the heating was on prior to our arrival would have made the cottage feel more welcoming and our first night more enjoyable
