About this house rental
Situated in Clinton, this lovely house for $195 per night is a great option for your next break. This beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable space is 600 square feet, has one bedroom with a queen size bed, a fully stocked kitchen, bathroom with shower and tub, spacious living room with sleeper sofa, dining area in the kitchen and a large outdoor deck complete with table, chairs and a gas grill. Enjoy some meals on the deck! The views of the Indian River are simply amazing. The living space is located on the top floor of the house as shown in the photos - please note that you must be able to safely navigate a flight of stairs. Located within a small marina, which is the home of a busy, seasonal kayak and paddleboard rental business, it is the perfect place to go kayaking or paddleboarding! From Memorial Day to Labor Day, the use of two kayaks or paddleboards each day during your stay (2 hours per day), are included in the nightly price – weather permitting. You will be within walking distance of the Clinton train station, Cedar Island Marina and several restaurants, as well as a 30 minute drive from Yale, a 45 minute drive from the casinos. Two lovely, well-known spas (Water's Edge and Saybrook Point) are a short 15-20 minute drive away. Hammonasset State Park (beautiful beach) is a 10 minute drive. The neighborhood has sidewalks for easy, safe walking to restaurants, the town marina, or just an evening stroll. What’s included: • Linens and towels will be provided • Two parking spaces available • WiFi is available (no cable TV) • A maximum of two (2) adult house guests. Additional guest fees for 3rd and 4th guest will apply. Max of 4 guests. • Minimum age of primary renter is 24 years old Traveling with a larger group? We have a similar property only steps away! We chose this property as a quick weekend get-away. It has a great view of a river inlet where the owners also run a Kayak business. It is within a very quick drive to Hammonasset Beach. The unit itself was immaculately maintained and well decorated. It felt warm and inviting. Every detail was taken care of by the hosts. It was such a welcome change to have linens, towels, soaps, etc all provided. We had a chance to meet the hosts who were very nice and happy to answer any questions. I would highly recommend this property.

Ann and Chris were great hosts; they made sure we had everything we needed! The house was easy to find, clean and the perfect fit for my husband, 4 month old and me. It was within minutes of restaurants and was close to the Hammonasset state park. The back porch overlooking the water was beautiful and so relaxing in the morning. We would absolutely stay here again!

Nicely appointed inside with a sunny outdoor deck overlooking the marina and beyond. We took a walk among the quiet surrounding streets. We wished we had additional free time to kayak and explore the river that property’s marina operates. Chris and Ann are great hosts and were very accessible. Highly recommend.

This is a very spacious, spotlessly clean rental with beautiful coastal/water/marsh view (no rental below you so it's quiet). The entire property is charming and VERY well maintained. Location is great; close to Route 1, but in a walkable neighborhood and a nice waterfront restaurant/bar (Aqua). The furniture is like new and comfy. There were plenty of extra towels, blankets, etc. provided in the closet as well as bathroom toiletries. A welcome basket of Keurig pods and snacks were much appreciated! The hosts were very gracious and friendly. This cozy rental is a hidden gem!

Staying at Chris & Ann’s is cottage was such a pleasant experience. The minute we opened the door, I noticed how clean it was. Almost everything seemed new or barely used with lots of nice small touches-a snack basket, bathroom supplies, fully stocked kitchen with basic cooking supplies. It was very quiet with a peaceful view of the bay from the balcony. We enjoyed kayaking twice. We hope to go back again!

We were staying here during our wedding weekend and it was the perfect escape for me and my husband. The property is so cool and right on the water. They also own a water sports company and we got 2 free rentals and discounted rates on extras. My husband and his groomsmen ended up kayaking that morning and they had a blast. We met the entire squad who runs the operation and they were so sweet! We will definitely stay here again.

Both times rate 5+ stars. Welcoming, CLEAN, relaxing, comfortable, great location with plenty of great sunrises and surroundings near the water to walk to and enjoy. Chris, Ann, and Sarah are wonderfully hospitable. WILL stay again.
