Bad experience

Unfortunately the place was not equipped as it said. We could not cook, and it was dirty.

The place had termites and many other bugs. It was quite horrible. We had a very bad experience. We took pictures and videos and would really like a refund. They also made us pay in cash.

I’ll be back !

Overall fantastic! Everything about our stay was perfect ! Our requests were dealt with quickly . The location in Centro was close to the beaches , shopping , restaurants , Malecon . What makes this place special was the sense of community- we met several people that we’re staying there with whom we had many social times ; even went salsa dancing at the local gym a few blocks away ! Thankyou Celia !!!

Very Nice Stay

The property was clean, well equipped, and the apartment was well maintained and attractive. The staff was helpful and friendly.

The quirkiness and friendly atmosphere caused us to rename this the “Best Exotic Mexican Hotel”.

The owner was waiting at the property to take us to our rooms— she and family members live on sight and preside over a common table area where guests come in and out, visiting, sharing where to go and what to do— our last evening there was a margarita party with about 20 people, most of whom were staying months instead of days like us! Atmosphere made Zihuateneo the favorite place we visited.

No credit card option for paying was unexpected—this is because it is a small family operation . Also the apartments were random in their furnishings— but if you had specific needs, Celia would fulfill them right away. It is definitely a budget operation, but the atmosphere soon made us feel we were at a kind of family reunion!

Cheerful and friendly

Cecilia was very friendly and helpful and spoke good conversational English. I hope to come back next year.

Perfect Stay

We stayed for 3 nights and it was great! It was clean, comfortable, quiet and close to delicious food and drinks. Management was prompt to respond to any needs that we had. Having a kitchen was nice too!

Exceptional

Perfect location in the city center, close to everything. We had nice apartment on the roof top and the owner was very helpful. If we come back to Zihua, we would stay again.

Great central location and super quiet for an excellent rest in the night

Super friendly and helpful host. Excellent location for daily activities. Exceptionally quiet place, great to rest.

good value for the money

good location, apartment was spacious. kitchen was minimally equipped but enough so for basic cooking. bedroom was a separate space, which was nice. it was pretty quiet, couldn’t hear much from neighbors. shared outdoor space. there were extra chairs and a hammock in the apartment as well.

there were many, many mosquitoes. this was the biggest problem for me. no hot water. not a lot of natural light. the bathroom had a strange configuration and it was difficult to use the toilet without tripping over the edge of the shower. only one set of silverware in the apartment. it was difficult to get in to the property initially, the phone number given on booking didn’t work and I stood on the street for 10 minutes with 2 other people who were also trying to check in. we only got in because someone entered the property with a key.

Nice apartments, super host

The best host I have ever had. Very helpful, always available, answered all questions at any time. The room/apartment was a good size and nicely decorated, even with little details extra for me. Good internet, good air conditioning, a few blocks from the beach (other, nicer beaches accessible by foot, bus or boat).

There was a strange smell in the kitchen by the fridge/sink from time to time. Little daylight in the kitchen. The patio is not so nice.

¡Muy bien!

The room is clean.wide, bright. Owner is very kind lovely lady. She kindly told us how to take a bus from the airport to the hotel and to a beach in a remote village.I'm very grateful to her.It was correct answer that I chose this accommodation in Zihuatanejo.Muchas gracias Celia!!!

Our room certainly needs remodelling. Which I think may be happening in other rooms

Location downtown, host wanted to please and available most of the time

sheets not changed during 7 day stay. Was told by 3 others that theres weren't changed in 15 days. Needs ongoing maintainance. e.g,Toilet seat broken, water leaks. Would stay again if host could stay on top of ongoing repairs (preventative rather than fixing things when they become a problem)
