The location was good, as it was near to the main SAPCO bus station, as well as walking distance to the old area of Al Balad. Staff were very helpful and polite and did their best to sort out our issues (not enough towels, tv signal not working, not enough cups for tea, etc), as quickly as they could. The hotel felt very quiet, which was possibly why the facilities were not all in action.
The room was grubby in places and had not been cleaned properly. The bathroom was unclean and there was some faeces on the floor in the shower. I had to clean it myself to make it a bit better. There was damage to the desk unit, which needed repairing. The pool was out of action as it was empty and being repaired. The gym facilities did not look to be in use at all. There was an extra tax added to the bill, which was not expected or shown on the booking.
