Cock Hotel by Greene King Inns

Room was basic but comfortable and clean with tea, coffee etc. Staff were super friendly and were happy to help at any point. Ie I needed something printing and they were happy to help.

I didn't realise they had entertainment Friday and Saturday nights which was quite loud. Granted it is a pub but it was very loud and I didn't see this advertised when booking. The music went off around 11pm but when travelling for work and working a long day it was a little annoying.

Good location. Great and helpful staff. Good parking. Good food especially breakfast.

It was in a heatwave. The room was very very hot. No aircon. And a fan encrusted in dust. Couldnt sleep and became dehydrated. Went to a wedding the following day. But felt poorly due to overnight trauma. Spoilt my trip. Sorry but true. Seriously need to sort this. Also the room was made to look good on photos but basically overloaded with bulky olde worlde stuff. No space to put anything. No places for suitcases. Only a little glass shelf above basin in bathroom. Could easily add a bigger shelf or something. And had to fill what space was available in the room with duvet ( has to remove from cover) and mega pillows ( suitable only for giraffes). Wardrobe had ironing board wedged in it leaving little space for our wedding clothes and which toppled over everytime the door was opened. Was booked as a double but was too small for two people and all the things people bring.
