Only an hour’s drive from Denver, this gorgeous Summit County residence is perfectly located in the heart of Colorado Ski Country and is just minutes away from A-Basin, Loveland, Keystone, Copper Mountain, and Breckenridge ski areas…and only 45 minutes to Vail and Beaver Creek. In the summer- we are only minutes from the Raven Golf Course and a short drive to Keystone, Copper and Breckenridge golf courses! When you aren’t out skiing, biking, fishing, hiking, or white river rafting you will enjoy relaxing in this comfortable mountain home with its state of the art 75 inch TV and surround sound system. The open floor plan allows the kitchen, dining room, and main living area to all flow into one inviting space for your entire family to congregate. Moose, deer, and fox can often be seen right in the back yard. The South Willow Falls trail head is located just around the corner providing hiking access to the 133,496 acre federally designated “Eagles Nest Wilderness”. Its 180 mile network of hiking trails travels through the rugged mountains of the Gore Range. Melting snow in the spring plunges from the heights to create thundering creeks and water falls, pristine high alpine lakes, verdant meadows and spectacular wildflowers. This is an area that is more vertical than horizontal, with jagged peaks, sharp-edged ridges, deep valleys, sparkling alpine lakes, and dense forests. Gold medal trout fishing waters can be found nearby on the Blue River. It was the perfect location, pretty central to all of the snow activities. It was also only minutes away from groceries, shopping, and food. The house itself was recently updated so it felt like living in a new house! Kitchen was fully stocked and a wonderful place for everyone to gather to cook and eat. We really appreciated how the home had everything we needed for the 9 of us - extra towels, blankets, plenty hooks for all of our coats in the entry, and enough seats in the living and dining rooms. All of the beds and bedrooms were very comfortable. It was also nice and clean, which was great for a germaphobe like me! The owners were very nice and helpful the whole stay. They even shoveled snow from our driveway every morning, which was thoughtful because that's the last thing anyone would want to do on vacation. The absolute highlight of this trip was the moose! A big beautiful moose was just hanging out in the backyard, we had the perfect view and enjoyed piling up around the windows to watch her. So glad the owner texted us to look!
