Situated in Karangasem Regency, this attractive villa for $1,125 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Absolute oceanfront. Almost a hectare of land (6200m2) with 3 villas to rent together. Sometimes we have specials for renting one or two villas only. Pool is 17X7m. Spa(with sauna) and granite soaking tub is attached to the villa Joglo. Tennis court. 100 coconut trees, lots of bushes/flowers and immaculate green lawn. Villa Saraswati is built from an antique structure with some modern additions. Wooden walls and special roof structure allows for air circulation and building stays “cool” even on the hottest days in Bali. There are nine powerful fans in the main area to help air circulation and A/C units in the bedrooms. Villa is about 335 m2 with 2bdrs and large entertainment/media/living/dining area. Semi open bathrooms attached. Seven front steps lead the guest to the entry through a large glass door. As you walking into a grandiose living/dining/media area (135 m2) on a warm granite floor there is a feel of a Raja (king) palace. Carved walls, soaring ceilings, paintings and other artifacts on a floor and walls. Two traditional doors lead to bedrooms separated by concrete wall. Bedrooms (36m2 each) are equipped with king size beds, writing desks. Large doors into bathrooms (east bathroom is 24m2, the west bathroom is 36m2 can be wide open creating the harmony of semi-open space with large bathtubs. The soothing sound of the water coming down over the 1.5m high ceramic vase and contributes to the tranquility of the place. Bale (10m2 open structure) with ocean view, welcoming front porch (30m2)with antique armchairs. Villa Joglo is a combination of an antique teak house from Java with contemporary architectural elements. The elegant open design plan with intricate carving on teak walls, with conveniences of a contemporary home. Villa Joglo is 557 m2 roofed space include semi-open spa attached. Specifications: Living/kitchen/dining/entertainment area-- 110m2, first floor. Wrap around granite porch on first and second floor 120m2. Spa/sauna area—90m2, first floor. Both bdrs on a second floor--each 35m2 have attached bathroom. Bdrs equipped with queen size Madura beds, armoires, writing tables, and chairs. The Villa Joglo’s large kitchen/dining/living/entertainment/office area is tastefully appointed with antique furniture pieces and contemporary design elements that divide the large open space into different 'zones'. This villa can comfortably accommodate 4 adults with children. Villa Yoga Bale has 2 bedrooms and a total living area of 225m2. It's grandiose semi-open living space (80m2 with over 7m high ceiling) is a multifunctional area for dining, relaxing, playing games, watching the waterfall built out of rough marble and handmade ceramic vase; hosting a small performance, and practicing yoga. Antique Javanese (gebyok-intrinsic traditional carving) walls are united with large panes of glass to create a traditional/contemporary blend in a fully air-conditioned downstairs bedroom. The bedroom is large enough to hold a king size bed and a double bed (both antique from the island of Madura), a writing table, chairs, and armoire for clothes. Attached to the bedroom is 30m2 bathroom with handmade terrazzo bathtub and separate shower. Another bedroom upstairs (36m2) with vaulted thatched (alang-alang) ceiling offers the best view of the ocean. 4 adults plus children can reside at the villa with comfort. Over the years our compound has proven to be the great place for family travels, welcoming kids by a safe beach, children pool and a lot of grass fields, large enough to put together a friendly family soccer match. Many families have become loyal returning customers. Excellent property and staff and location - could not fault any of these. Only minor issue was that for onsite costs we told that we could pay with credit card, which was not possible. This resulted in the owner in the USA arranging transfer through paypal Rupiah- US$ - AUS$ involving about 7% commission/transfer costs rather than about 3% with credit card. If we could have stayed longer, we most definitely would. The property is breathtaking and true to the listings pictures.
Ayu and her staff were amazing. So helpful and accommodating for my large family gathering.
The location is definitely far (2hrs from the airport). That was a selling point for us though, since we wanted a quiet and beautiful setting to ourselves. It is in a community of other resort stays (someone got married next door and set off fireworks, which was fun). Otherwise we couldn’t see or hear anyone near us. Restaurants could be found within walking distance, but the chef on property was wonderful too.
The only down side I would say is that this property is nowhere near cheap considering the area we stayed in and we definitely paid for the convenience of having dinner on site. It is a big and beautiful property though and an amazing experience - so we have no regrets. Definitely a place worth visiting again.

We loved our stay at Citakara Sari Villas, the location on the beach front is beautiful, watching the boats come and go while swimming in the pool was great.
The staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble for them, we had a group of 14, and a birthday celebration which they organised everything for, including the traditional Balinese Kecak dance, which was a real highlight of the trip.
The food at the villa was delicious, having young children we found it easier to eat most meals at the villa rather than going out, the chef was very accommodating to any special requests we had.
We would definitely stay here again.

Attention to detail in every way-a truly wonderful visit
Excellent private location, this luxury estate is meticulously groomed and landscaped, offering superb accommodations for a large group with ample opportunity for privacy and comfort. Architecturally stunning buildings accompanied by artistic and historic interior design. Hand crafted Balinese wall and ceiling panels are jaw dropping in their beauty and, with the ancient and modern art throughout the compound, there is an overriding sense of calmness and serenity. Spectacular baths as well as a private spa are welcome amenities. Private beach with protective breakwater allows for excellent clear water snorkeling and swimming. The large infinity pool overlooking the beach provides ample room for swimming laps or just for cooling off and enjoying the view. A well maintained tennis court along with rackets and balls really exceeded all expectations. The staff is professional, gracious, friendly and attentive. The chef has skills found at some of the finest restaurants on the island. He has perfected western, Balinese and Indonesian cuisine and is eager to share his passion for preparing truly memorable meals. The manager is always quick to respond to even the most unusual of requests and the entire staff is groomed to respect the privacy of the guests in the most sensitive manner. We have had the privilege to be guests at some of the finest hotels in the world and Citicara Sari is equal in quality to all yet with the added bonus of allowing one to be the only guests on the entire property. We look forward to our next stay at this wonderful estate.

Beach Paradise
Our stay was absolutely fabulous! We had a group of 8, from 5 to 70, and we all loved our stay. The pool had a shallow area for the kids, and we spent hours at the beach snorkeling and beach combing. The food that Putu prepared was delicious and Ayu and her staff were attentive, quick to respond to any request, and a true pleasure to be around. Thank you for an amazing vacation!

The only place to stay in Bali!
We have stayed here three times over the last three years and each time it delights and surprises us. The estate is beautiful! The staff is diligent, but unobtrusive and the accommodation tasteful, clean and comfortable. We rarely leave the compound- instead enjoying the world class snorkeling right in front of the villa. Lounging by the pool and enjoying the delicious food prepared to order by the chef. The owner is quick to respond and very accommodating. This is a wonderful vacation destination.

The premises consists of 3 separate Villas on a big piece of land located at ocean front. The Villas are very luxurious and well designed, offer a lot of space and privacy. The village where the property is located is very remote and nearly 1.5 hours away from Denpassar. So if you are looking for distraction and entertainment it is not the right place. The staff was very polite and willing to help. Just their knowledge of the English language is very limited, except for the manager, Mrs. Ayu. Apart from that it is a very good place to relax and calm down. As often on Bali, the beach is poor (concerning the sand), but apart from that there is a lot of good coral just in front of the small beach.

What an amazing place and wonderful team we've left part of our hearts in Bali.....
We booked all 3 villas so we could share this beautiful place with friends. The villas are all beautiful! The grounds truly stunning lying by the pool was just Bliss! The Reef fascinating lots of fish to see for those who snorkel. The team of staff so wonderful Ayu and team so lovely, friendly and helpful the kids talk of them still! This is definitely a non touristy part of Bali which is stunning much to see and do if your prepared to travel away from the Villa a little. The group enjoyed visits to Coffee plantations, rice fields, water temples, Volcano cycle ride and a Boat trip over to the Gili Islands all thoroughly recommended. This place was incredibly special and I can't recommend it highly enough to anyone thinking of staying were just looking for an excuse to return tho from the UK it's a Long Trip. As for the area, it's nice and quiet but the bars of Candi Dasa are just a few minutes drive away (most restaurants have a driver and will come and pick you up). There are a few nice restaurants within a few minute walk that offer good Balinese food but also pizza and burgers for the less adventurous. I can fully recommend the restaurant at the Sea Breeze hotel right next to the villas. Of course the food cooked by the staff at the villas is excellent - ask about the traditional Balinese banquet!
We would go back tomorrow if we could which should be recommendation enough!!

Beautiful Expansive Property in a charming and quiet area of Bali
Our party of 16 took over the Citakara Sari compound for over two weeks this past summer. It is a gorgeous property with lovely expansive grounds, spacious villas that gave us all our own privacy while having a great common room for meals and get togethers. The property is on the "sleepier" side of Bali away from the hustle of Seminyak. There are several great excursions about 45 minutes from the Villa that we explored. We ventured to various beaches and snorkeled at the Blue Lagoon. We took advantage of the bbq prepared by the staff one night and had local performers come a do a "Frog Dance" that was a fun treat. Iyu the property manager helped us navigate around town and we worked with several different drivers to take us to destinations outside of the main village. On the same strip of beach there are several different hotels which were convenient to drop into for lunches and dinners to change up the pace. We loved using the tennis courts and the mini raft in the pool which the kids turned into their own pirate ship. We had been traveling all summer and Citakara Sari was the perfect place to end our whirlwind vacation. We searched for treasure (sea glass, shells, etc) on our own private beach, lounged at the pool, played cards under the gazebo and got lost watching the waves. Iyu arranged for massages that were heavenly. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the villas and would recommend to families with all ages, wedding parties and friends.

The villa is superb, the view is amazing, the team is professional and very helpful, always here when you need. It is a little corner in paradise, closed to Candi Dasa (5mn by car), very quiet and relaxing, but you can also make visits to nice places.

We even organised a dinner party with a suckling pig and had friends come over...there was nothing to do from setting the table to cleaning up. The most relaxing holiday in a beautiful villa with lovely pool and discrete helpful staff. Staying here was the highlight of the trip...you really don't need to venture beyond the gates!!! Although we had to since we were attending a conference at a hotel near by....Citi Kara Sari was the much better venue.
Having a driver at your disposal really helped since local knowledge is a must and the drivers we saw on the road caused lots of amusement for their lack of concern for themselves.
Would recommend it to those with family group or large party of friends. Sleeps 8 couples perfectly. A truly relaxing holiday thanks to the great staff.

Jewel in Candidasa
We spent 5 nights in this wonderful property in July 2013.
Hospitality started as soon as we landed in the airport with prompt arrival of our drivers.
The property is situated on the east coast of Bali and so with the traffic of morning rush hour, the commute is about 1.5 hours.
However when you arrive, you are immediately met by a group of friendly staff waiting to take your bags and cool tropical drinks in hand!
The property is more majestic than the pictures would suggest.
You even have your own stretch of private beach!
Bedrooms are spacious and air conditioned.
The villa was immaculate with beautiful antiques and artwork reflective of the owners' excellent taste.
The menu for the villa itself is simple and this may be reflective of the fact that there are several local restaurants who will deliver.
However we were a large group with small children and so arranged with Ayu to have dinner at home . Ayu is a fantastic cook who easily could outrun any of the local restaurants!
Made also is an excellent and safe driver who showed us the sights!
If you have the opportunity, ask for the Kecak dance performance , you'll not regret it !
The highlight though was meeting the owners themselves who are warm and charming people !

Wonderful vacation at Villa Sitakara, Bali
That vacation was a dream of my life. The Villa itself was a piece of art, the garden was nice and shady, the nice and cosy beach pleased us every time we went for a swimming, and all this beautiful environment was adorned with warmest welcome and best hospitality ever, provided by the owner himself and by his team. My compliments to all of them. Our family can't wait to return to Bali!

Gorgeous Tranquility
My wife, two teenage children, and I stayed in Villa Joglo for three nights. The time was too short. There are two gorgeous homes in a palm grove on the ocean with a private beach, pool, tennis court, and an attentive staff. It is as far from Kuta's nightlife as it is close to traditional Bali. There is no restaurant on the premises, but it is within walking distance of a "real" Balinese village and several small cafés. The staff prepares breakfast and will prepare lunch and dinner with advance notice. We were not into planning ahead and ordered lunch and dinner off of the collection of menus from nearby restaurants that will deliver. The staff was nowhere to be seen – – until you want something. Drinks by the pool, a masseuse, a tennis partner, a car to Ubud, can all be easily arranged. If tranquility in a stunningly beautiful setting is the goal, it would be difficult to find anything nicer than this beautiful property.

Paradise at Bali's east coast
Our family of five enjoyed every minute during the eight nights stay at Citakara Sari Estate near Candi Dasa in February this year.
Everything was as described on the website. The property is situated in a quiet and secluded location on Bali's east cost with beautiful ocean views. The two airy and spacious villas on the estate are comfortable, tastefully decorated and kept very clean and tidy. With no mosquitoes around we left our balcony doors open at night to enjoy the ocean breeze. The lush garden is perfectly manicured and we felt like being in paradise.
Our daughters aged 13, 18 and 21 enjoyed their daily matches on the fantastic tennis court, my husband explored the reef snorkeling from the small private beach and went fishing by boat in the strait. I recharged by exercising in the large well maintained pool, having fantastic body massages in the spa area, relaxing on the comfortable sun lounges and watching the colorful sunsets.
The girls were happy to have free internet access and they made plenty of use of the property's DVD collection. I found a couple of very interesting books in the house about Balinese culture and customs.
With recommendations regarding sight seeing from the staff we went on several day trips exploring different parts of Bali in the estate's comfortable car and felt very safe with our friendly and experienced driver. Candi Dasa is a 10 minutes drive away and we got complimentary lifts to shop or visit restaurants. When we preferred to eat in we ordered take away or asked the staff to prepare a meal.
With our own small safe in the villa for our valuables and a night guard on the grounds we never had to worry about safety issues and felt very secure living on the estate.
The service by the staff of six was perfect. They did everything to make us feel at home and always had a friendly smile on their faces. Even before we arrived the American owner of the property responded to all our queries in detail and it was a pleasure doing business with him.
We recommend this wonderful place to anybody who is looking for a peaceful and relaxing holiday in luxurious surroundings. Our family would love to stay at Citakara Sari again in the future.

Magical and Perfect
After escaping Ubud, 5 lbs heavier (they do have great food there) and our wallets in tack, we found Bali within the serenity of the Citakara Estate. We stayed in the Villa Yoga Bale, slowed down and took in the magic. The house is beautiful in it's simplicity. My husband and I stayed in the upstairs bedroom with a view of the sea, and our teenage kids shared the downstairs bedroom with the TV. I hope to go back again, and the sooner the better. The staff is exceptional, and took care of all of our needs. We ate breakfast in, and went exploring by afternoon and night. There are two houses on this estate and they are both works of art. There is enough distance for privacy, yet close enough to mingle if you are fortunate and have nice people next door.
If you want to slow down, this is the place for you. We had to force ourselves to go sightseeing because we never wanted to leave the grounds.

CITAKARA IS HEAVEN IN CANDIDASA

* Villa Citakara Sari Estate. Villa Joglo and Yoga Bale. The most amazing house I have ever stayed in. The owner is a pleasure to deal with and there is a full time staff onsite. Ayu is the care taker and she is so wonderful! There are not enough great things I can say about this place! It was breathtakingly beautiful, secluded and peaceful, reef snorkeling off your own private beach and it still has all the amenities you would look for in a public hotel; wireless, full kitchen, room service, turn down, etc.. I almost did not want to tell anyone about this place so I do not have to compete for a calendar week! There is no other place in Candidasa like it, whether you are with your whole family on vacation or on your honeymoon this is where you want to be! I would go back in a heart beat… especially since I never wanted to leave.

Paradise Found!
My husband and our 2 young children had the pleasure of visiting this amazing property for a week and could not have any more rave reviews of this home. We have been fortunate to travel to some amazing 5 star resorts around the world and this stunning home is better than anything we've found yet. From the very beginning with my initial inquiry to Iouri, I knew that we had found something special. He responded so quickly to all of my questions and booked our stay in an very professional manner, which is certianly unique to typical vacation home rentals when working directly with the owner. It truly felt like booking through a luxury resort. The ease of booking was just the beginning, as our arrival at the home far exceeded the expectations we had for this property. We were greeted by all of the staff, and typical of the Balinese people, all were incredibly kind and welcoming. The home is incredibly comfortable- wonderful beds, large bathrooms and wrap around decks from which to enjoy the amazing views. The infinity pool, complete with the inclusion of the small "kids" pool, is perfect for those traveling with young children. The beach is just as the pictures show- private and best to be enjoyed with the snorkel gear provided by the staff. The amazing people who took care of us were so kind and always available for anything we needed, but without being at all intrusive. We ventured out to a few restaurants, but found ourselves not wanting to leave the property too often as we had everything we needed there! Nearby restaurants easily deliver all meals, though Ayu's on-site cooking is not to be missed. Daily breakfasts cooked by the staff were wonderful too. We had an amazing week which passed far too quickly at this piece of heaven on earth.

We stayed two weeks in Citakari Sara during august 2011 to discover the east of Bali. It was wonderful. The villa, its amenities, the location and the staff! Great service, great holidays! Thanks again, we will come back for sure!

Counting Coconuts
My wife and I stayed at Citakara Sari in October 2011.
We originally booked for 5 nights and planned to travel onto Lombok for 7 nights, but after 4 hours at the property it became very clear to us that leaving would be foolish so we stayed for the full 12 days.
We are regular visitors to Bali and after a bad experience staying at “Bali Vnew” villa in LOVINA we vowed never to rent a privately owned villa again however staying at Citakara Sari has changed that. This was one of the most professionally run places we have experienced, even better than some of the resorts with hundreds of staff.
The team that run the place on a daily basis really care about your holiday experience. Even after our first initial email enquiry to the owner prior to booking, I knew we had found something very special were going to enjoy staying there.
If you love to relax and chill out in a beautiful tropical setting, than this is the place for you. The villas are tastefully decked out with antique carvings and artefacts, numerous lounging options with sumptuous soft furnishings add to the laid back, understated luxury…heaven!
Magnificent grounds, a beautiful pool and snorkelling right off the beach. The property was so lovely we did not want to leave and day trips became a chore!
Nothing was a too much trouble; we had bicycles, yoga teachers, masseuses, and meals from local Candidasa restaurants delivered to our villa. Although the Nasi Goreng cooked by AYU was pretty special!
If you want to a more active holiday there is a lot to do in and around the area but we were so relaxed we did not even use the splendid tennis court.

If you are nervous about booking on the internet ...........with this propert you dont have to be.
The villa and property are true to the photographs and from the moment you arrive you dont want to leave. The villa is tastefully decorated and immaculately clean. We spent our days playing tennis and swimming in the large pool or the sea and at night we fell asleep listening to the relaxing sounds of the ocean.
The staff are friendly and efficient and go out of their way to help you in any way they can. We stayed in several properties and hotels during our stay and this villa was the best by far.
If you are looking for somewhere quiet, private and peaceful but like to be active during the day then this special villa and all it offers is the place you want to be.
