Beautiful, welcoming, peaceful hotel in a stunning location. Loved the view from our very large terrace. There are so many 'chill out' areas around the grounds of the hotel, you can enjoy privacy or be more sociable! Excellent, friendly staff who are knowledgeable and passionate about the hotel and this beautiful part of Portugal. Great honesty bar system so lack of bar not an issue. Very tasty breakfast with amazing views from the terrace. Two restaurants a 20 minute walk (uphill) from the hotel.

The rooms close to reception can experience some noise in the morning.

I liked everything. Super friendly staff, beautiful setting, gorgeous room, fantastic facilities. It is a sanctuary away from the business of life.

Stayed for one night and found it very quiet and peaceful.

I loved the views from the hotel.

Everything else, the shower with cold water after 2 minutes of hot water only. No slippers provided for the room, the cleaning took place after the first night but only for the bed to be redone. No vacum was used and no mop was used at all while cleaning is visible only on the bed. No ironing machine available or water kettle in the room for a cup of tea for example. Breakfast I went twice and one time NO hot milk and one time NO hot coffee and in both times I was told they won’t do a new one. One time no jam but it’s called an open buffet. You don’t get served to an amazing level. But it’s ok!
