It’s quiet environment and their friendly staff
It scared us initially as we were the only guests in the entire property and the signs were very clear that it’s not a bustling place in spite of everything kept up

I really liked this place. I was using it as a waiting place while I tried to re-arrange travel home due to disruption in the middle east. The old house [155 years old] was really characterful and I enjoyed its old world charms. I didn't go in the newer block behind the swimming pool but that looked good too - perhaps with more spacious rooms. I really enjoyed the swimming pool which was a few yards from my room, through the superbly maintained tropical garden. Breakfast was good - in particular the Sri Lankan omelettes. The staff were friendly and efficient. While it is not on the beach top - as other places I have stayed at in the area have been - the walk is so short as to make that irrelevant - about 2 minutes. A few people have mentioned the proximity to the train track as a downside but I really liked it. While I loved the quietude of the setting when dozing in my planters' chair I also quite enjoyed the interruption of the odd passenger train rolling past. It provided interest.
Nothing at all. Its true that personally I wouldn't recommend the restaurant for dinner, but they do an excellent breakfast, and there are lots of beach top eateries very nearby, plus an Indian Restaurant less than 200m away.

swimming Pool and Resort stay covered with beautiful Garden. Rooms are neat with very old style products used.
Hotel booking was arranged with buffet, During Buffet asking for one egg Omelet his face was changing. That Make us Very disappointed. Exhaust fan was not working in bathroom.
