The property decor and gardens are stunning
Unfortunately the double bed in our room was exceptionally firm and as I suffer from bad back this overnight stay made it very uncomfortable.

Beautiful historic mansion with wonderful gardens and a very welcoming host! He took the time to greet us warmly and provided a historic tour of the mansion.
The bathroom amenities soap and shampoo were in little very difficult to open bags. An easy fix / bring your own. Breakfast options were very limited for vegetarians or vegans but it was included in the very fair price of the nightly stay and the owner was very kind and offered to store our food in their kitchen.

The gardens outside were beautiful and the property looked impressive from the outside. The bedroom and bathroom were comfortable with plenty of hot water.
The caretaker was helpful and cheerful.
The property was virtually closed down for the winter and we only had access to the gardens and our bedroom. We wanted to see the rest of building. We were looked after by a Spanish caretaker who spoke no English. We think he was offsite in the evening which meant it was very eerie at night.
We had a very basic continental breakfast with no fruit, cereal or yogurt
Although it says there was a restaurant this was all locked up as was the lounge. It would be quite a challenge to go out for an evening meal in the dark as it is a bit off the beaten track and not easy to find. This means bringing in supplies for the evening .
