close to train station. 50min away from chamonix by direct train. price was decent as well. there is a funicular nearby as well.
supermarket was 2km away and even a smaller average shop was further uphill but was accessible by a funicular located near the train station.

Everything. First of all, the aroma hits you as soon as you step into the hotel. The bed was comfortable and the room was quite spacious, I mean more than enough for our needs and the view was gorgeous. Breakfast was served in the restaurant, which is nicely decorated, just like the rest of the hotel. The buffet was full of local produce and there was plenty of choice. We would definitely come back for a weekend in St Gervais.
We were surprised that, for a breakfast menu like that, there weren’t any eggs on offer. It’s just a personal preference, as we usually eat eggs for breakfast.
