The breakfasts are as stated by many others, quite the highlight of a stay here.
In particular our invitation to join host Alan in a breakfast of kippers. Maz would be out so could avoid the aroma.
The room, the friendlyness of Maz & Alan, the garden, their advice and assistance with outings. Maz doing some clothes washing for us, we were 3 weeks into a 7 week trip.
Having to leave so soon and move to our new destination in Adelaide.

It was exactly as advertised, clean, everything you needed and more. This was the perfect first time to cairns for me and my partner. Maz and Al went above and beyond regular hosts to make us comfortable and help us plan our days within our budget. I’ve never met more down to earth and kind people. The breakfast by Maz was sooo good and felt authentically North QLD. She went out of her way to accommodate me as a coeliac. It was a communal experience and we even made a friend who was also staying there, Lee. I would highly recommend this place for long or short term stays. Especially if you’ve never been to the area before. It can be hard to navigate but they will sort you out and make you comfy.

The property is well located close to the beach and the room was very well set up. The host were very friendly and provided a lot of very helpful information. I particularly appreciated the lovely breakfast with fresh tropical fruits.
I was in the outside room, which was very well set up but did find the bed a bit hard and sagged.
