Rooms are beautiful and spacious and well appointed. Everything you could want. Great decor. Warm and huge high ceilings. Incredibly clean room and shared bathrooms. It’s a great working pub with good meals and outdoor area and very central to everything in Healseville.
I’m not a big fan of shared bathrooms and would usually avoid this in a property however they are imbecibly clean and well stocked and there are only 6 rooms so it’s never a problem. Because it’s a working pub staff to assist are often in the bar and really busy but it’s not a huge problem.

No breakfast but many Cafes close by.
Location was right in the middle of Town, so perfect.
Would be better to have an ensuite but certainly managed well.

The room exceeded my expectations. When I booked, I was a little worried about staying above a pub and having shared bathrooms, especially as I'm usually what I'd call a bit of a "boujie" traveller. But I was pleasantly surprised.
The room was spacious, warm and comfortable, and the shared bathrooms were exceptionally clean. Honestly, it didn't even feel like I was sharing them with other guests—it felt more like being at home, where you share a bathroom with family.
It also wasn't overly noisy, which I had been concerned about, and all of the staff were friendly and welcoming. I would definitely stay here again.
The beds were a little firmer than I personally prefer, but that's just a matter of personal preference. Parking is also limited, so I'd recommend arriving early if you're driving. We got to Healesville early to make sure we could secure a parking spot at the hotel. Other than those two things, I had a great stay.
