A great-value, specialty hotel designed and built by its owner to encompass the heritage of Xian. Room architecture was v Chinese. Balcony over the entrance was a superb... bonus. Rooftop seating. Walk to museum. Amongst shops.

The place is tastefully decorated in Chinese cultures, very oriental. Location is convenient. We were grateful that our room was upgraded to one with attached bathroom. Grateful that the staff helped to carry our heavy luggages upstairs.
Staff was not around when we reached about 12 noon. We had to walk around and asked if they knew where the owner was. Finally, we met the person from the shop next door to collect the key to enter the inn. Our room was not cleaned, bed not made up and used towels unchanged even though the cleaner emptied the waste paper bins!
