The property is massive and designed as an all-inclusive resort; indeed, dining and shopping options in the immediate surroundings are quite limited. The location is truly picturesque, situated right on the lake, which is also visible from the outdoor onsen. The rooms are generously sized, clean, and comfortable. While the facility could certainly use some updating, the overall experience was positive.

Location, spacious rooms and amenities, cleanliness. Bar with darts, pool, table tennis, etc. Fairly well supplied souvenirs shop. Nice and helpful staff.
Managing buffet based breakfast and dinner is a constant challenge - and went quite well. I was not too impressed by the food itself, especially against the price, however some members of my family would beg to differ.
The rooms are spacious and clean, but the lavatory is so low that is almost unusable.
There is no or insufficient shelve / space, forcing to live off the suitcase (on the floor) = inconvenient and visually displeasing.
