Lovely, welcoming hotel. Great hosts, breakfast was wonderful and our room was perfect, with great views of the river and Looe.

The owners are lovely. Beautiful place and clean. Nice little touch in the room with a welcome drink of rum and a chocolate. Personally loved the furnishings. Breakfast was lovely.
This is not a criticism, but I think important people are aware of when booking. You need to be physically able to cope with steps and walking up slopes. Set half way up a cliff you need to walk, with luggage, up to the reception. We were on the top floor and 3 flights of steps. It does make clear there are no lifts, but I found the steps steep and personally difficult. (Dodgy hip) The room was beautifully furnished, but it was small (as was the bathroom) so we personally struggled with it.
