Clean, comfortable, great location

Expensive for the quality

Overall, the staff were very friendly, welcoming and attentive, which we really appreciated. However, there were several areas that could be improved, particularly considering the approximately NZD $600 per night rate. Breakfast: The staff were excellent, but there were many flies around the food, especially the fruit, which was concerning. The breakfast selection was also quite limited and could offer more variety. Room: Unfortunately, the room did not meet our expectations. It did not appear to have been cleaned properly and did not feel particularly clean or fresh. The bed was very uncomfortable, and we could feel the frame through the mattress. The pillows were too soft, the curtains looked tired, and the balcony door lock was broken. For this price, we were also surprised that bathrobes and slippers were not provided. The room felt quite small compared with other room categories we saw. Noise was also a major issue, with children running and screaming late at night and early in the morning, as well as loud music in the morning. Pool: The pool was extremely busy with children throughout the day, some of whom appeared to be outside visitors. This made it difficult for hotel guests wanting to relax. Better control of pool access or designated quiet periods would be helpful. While the staff and service were lovely, unfortunately the cleanliness, room quality, noise and overall facilities did not reflect the standard or value we expected for NZD $600 per night.

The room did not feel properly cleaned and was disappointing for NZD $600 per night. The bed was uncomfortable, the balcony lock was broken, and the room felt tired and basic. Breakfast had limited variety with too many flies around the food. Food and drinks from the restaurant by the pool were also overpriced for what was offered. Noise from children and loud music was an issue, and the pool was overcrowded, making it difficult to relax.
