Beautiful old villa. Full of character and history. Lovely mountain village location. Fairly easy access to main towns on the south of the lake. Lots of space and wonderful cool refuge from the heat of the day. Not lots of outdoor space so maybe not ideal for younger children but a nice outdoor terrace with garden furniture and a bbq area. The house is in the centre of the village and felt very much part of the community which was very nice. A very special place. The owner was very helpful and was there to greet us on arrival and show us the ropes.

Very spacious villa with outstanding interior furniture and decorations (paint, porcelain, books, old items)- all villa you want to explore near Como Lake you need to pay for entrance silly money- in this villa we got everything on the daily basis. Well equipped kitchen, spacious bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and very cozy place to sit outside when you can hear the sound of water coming through this small city.

The one thing that surprised us the most, was the house itself. It's so spacious you have to use GPS to find all your companions ;-) And everything you need is there; towels, soap, tablets for the dishwasher, you name it. The hosts are very friendly and you can contact them anytime. We really loved the interior and during warm days you'll find that the house itself remains cool.

It is a fantastic building. Wonderful original features. South facing terrace and balcony, but cool internally with the 1 meter thick walls. Large rooms with high ceilings, etc. etc. Wonderful old furniture but all the equipment you will need. We were shown the workings of the house by the hosts when we arrived and they were available at the end of the phone if needed. Lasnigo is a beautiful Little village with easy access to Como, Bellagio, Bergamo, the Lake and the Mountains and there is a train station in Asso 5 minutes away with regular trains to Milan and more.

Not much really...... The church bells go off every 30 minutes but it becomes a comforting connection.
