Conveniently located on Governors Drive, the main thoroughfare in Vanderhorst Plantation, the home is a 7-minute bike ride to the beach. Accentuated by hardwood floors, stately columns, and arched windows, the main living room is centrally located in the home and has easy access to the back deck. The fully equipped kitchen offers a large center island with bar stool seating. Just off the kitchen, the dining room and den have picture windows offering views of the golf course. The den will prove to be the main gathering space with its ample seating, wall-mounted flat-screen TV, and close proximity to the kitchen. The master suite offers a king bed, flat-screen TV, writing desk, access to the back deck, and private bathroom with large shower, bathtub, and double sinks. Two additional bedrooms, one with a king bed and one with two queen beds, each have their own bathroom with bathtub/shower combo. Step out to the back deck to enjoy dining al fresco, lounging by the pool, or soaking in the views. The home is equipped with washer, dryer, and high-speed wireless internet. This pool cannot be heated. During your stay on Kiawah Island, be sure to enjoy biking on the 30 miles of flat bike trails, golfing on one of five world-class courses, playing tennis, crabbing, fishing, swimming, and boating. Many families also enjoy the kids’ camp and nature programs at Night Heron Park. Kiawah Island is about 40 minutes from historic Charleston, famous for incredible shopping, galleries, antique stores, museums, the South Carolina Aquarium, horse-drawn carriage rides, historic landmarks, and sumptuous dining. Guest reservations of 3 to 21 nights come with a valuable credit to use towards beach gear rentals during your stay! The credit amount for this property is $250. You may use your credit for bicycles, beach chairs and umbrellas, beach carts, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, and more – the choice is yours! RESERVATION PROCESS: Your reservation is not confirmed until you return the Akers Ellis Rental Agreement. This document will be sent to you via email within a few hours of making your reservation. You need to review and electronically fill out, sign, and submit the agreement within 24 hours. Once returned, Akers Ellis will collect payment and send you a reservation confirmation via email. RBL19-006386 In accordance with the Town of Kiawah Island Short Term Rental Ordinance, all guests understand that the approved number of bedrooms is 3, the maximum allowed occupancy is 8, and the maximum allowed number of vehicles is 4.

Reviewer Comments: House was as advertised , clean ,in a good location and was big enough for our family of 7 even with 4 of them working from home while we were there . It backed onto the 7th hole of Osprey golf course and it was so nice sitting outside in the undercover porch even when it rained . A couple of things that need improving on is the outside patio furtniture was way past its best which was a shame because the furniture inside the house was of good condition . Although the kitchen had plenty of dinner plates and silverware it wasn’t very well stocked if you wanted to cook a family meal .

This was our first time to get a pool at Kiawah in 17 years......LOVED it!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This home was a perfect place to spend a week with our 2 teenage girls and their grandparents. The layout is great and the home is spacious and comfortable. The location is also Terrific to walk or ride bicycles. The pool is also so nice to have. It is not heated but despite cool temps, we still enjoyed floating in it. The backyard gets great sun during day so even in cooler temps it felt warm laying outside. Would definitely recommend this home through Akers Ellis. Their customer service is the very best.

Reviewer Comments: This was a beautiful house with huge rooms (and a ton of light switches!). Very clean and well-maintained. We loved the close proximity to the beach path. We had 2 maintenance issues: 1) we requested that the pool be heated (which is the main reason we booked the house) but we were notified on day of arrival that it wasn't working. Said they'd send someone out to look at it but no one ever came. Kids were very disappointed. 2) the air conditioner in part of the house wasn't working. Again, they said they'd send someone out immediately to look at it but no one ever came. Aside from that, great trip. Kiawah is one of our favorite places.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have rented from Akers Ellis over the last five years and this is the first home that we were disappointed in. The home is in need of some tender loving care. It could really use great pressure washing and the cushions are needing to be replaced. The kitchen is lacking glasses and other housewares that we have always had in other homes. The ice maker was not working when we arrived for our week's stay, and Akers Ellis responded with a bag of ice within the hour. However, it was never fixed and we had to keep going to the store every day to purchase ice so we would have it for our coolers and to use for drinks. The toaster only worked on one side. The tv in the master would not work and the other bedrooms did not even have TVs. We know how Akers Ellis manages their properties and this home did not live up to what we are accustomed to seeing in their rental properties. I think the homeowner if they are going to continue to rent needs to do some updating and replenishing of supplies.

We used to rent via VRBO - but renting from Akers Ellis was cheaper - AND we get free bike rentals! I would highly recommend renting through them!! The only thing worth noting about this house - is the kitchen was NOT a stocked kitchen...bare bones for cooking - and because of COVID we ended up eating at the house. Also - no serving dishes. There were some in the cabinets with notes saying “Do not use these!” However, the house was so lovely - We would stay there again - and just know we have to bring items from home.
