Very pleasant location with great views of the harbour - other accommodation is next door so not private. Friendly people and very easy check-in
Slightly outdated toilet and bathroom and limited cooking utensils, but manageable unless you want to cook something a bit more elaborate

Fantastic location. A short drive to Cobh and easy to get to Cork City. We visited Fota Island Wildlife Park, which was just a short spin away.
Shirley was a great host, making sure to meet us when we arrived and left us to our own devices. We got to meet some lovely dogs too and a friendly white cat.
In hindsight, we should have checked out the other apartments at Redington House, as we had a toddler with us and once he went to bed, we had nowhere to go. We knew that there was no living room in the upstairs apartment, but I guess we thought we'd be outside or in the kitchen. The kitchen is very small though, so wasn't really suitable for that. I think the upstairs apartment is perfect for adults or a parent visiting with their more grown-up child. With young kids, I'd recommend checking out one of Shirley's other apartments.
