The staff were extremely helpful, polite and professional, especially the duty manager - a real hard working guy. The food - was excellent. We enjoyed breakfast, lunch and dinner there and all were presented well and tasted delicious. They bake their own bread and keep choices selective, with local produce where possible, which makes for excellent quality food.
The only suggestion I have for the Devonshire Arms, would be to have a few books, magazines and/or newspapers (even the previous days), as it's great to have some reading material if you want to chill out and have forgotten to bring your own!

Beautiful food and atmosphere- a real treat for my 96 year old dad. A fabulous room with great style- all country designer textiles are sculptures, very comfortable with everything thought of. The staff were so kind, thoughtful and helpful towards everything dad needed.
The stairs to upstairs… but we coped! He only had to go up and down once!!
