Lovely staff but not the ultimate wow factor a 5 star should be

Comfortable with quiet spaces to chat and entertain friends

Starting to show signs of wear and tear. Hotel restaurant was over priced. Gym facilities a little small.

A hotel with great character

The hotel has a very nice character and has the feel of a luxury hotel. Staff were excellent and couldn't do enough to help us out. Fantastic place to stay at the end of the camino.

The breakfast was nice but could have been a lot better.

Stunning hotel with exceptional staff.

All the staff in the hotel across all departments, including in the breakfast room, restaurant, Cocktail lounge were professional, attentive, friendly and helpful. Even a member of staff in the breakfast room sincerely apologise to us for the language of another customer. The front desk staff including the concierge were outstanding in their welcome, willingness to help and to sort out taxis etc for us. We had some unusually requests, them storing large cardboard bike boxes until our return 7 days later, helping us move bikes and bike boxes around the hotel. Staff did not bat and eyelid at these requests and they all supported us with great enthusiasm and positivity. On our second visit, seven days later we were again welcomed with conviviality. The hotel itself is like an oasis with views of the Catedral from its well manicured gardens and within easy walking distance from the old parts of the city. It was our most favourite hotel over our two week trip on the Camino.

Range of meals in the restaurant could be better offering more variety.

A quality comfortable hotel with a perfect location for the Cathedral

The hotel, staff, food and service were exemplary, plus we had safe parking and proximity to the Cathedral

Spacious room with pleasant country views. Comfy bed. Nice pool.

Internal noise. We could hear the television in the room next door.

Charming site but overall underwhelming experience. Not worth the value.

Overall property is charming and away from the touristic hustle.

Underwhelming. Rooms are oldish looking, tapestry on furniture seemed worn down, bathrooms have a 90s look. And especially the bed was not incredibly comfortable nor the linens. For that fee, we truly expected luxe.

Lovely staff, so friendly and welcoming. Beautiful atmosphere about the hotel and tastefully decorated. Good breakfast and fab desserts gor a little pick me up!

Superb

staff was very nice and helpful

Breakfast was expensive and a do it yourself type thing. No fresh brewed café con leche, an nespresso machine you stick a pod in. Pastries looked like they came out of a plastic wrapper.

Lovely old building in a quiet garden setting - within easy walking distance of the old town

Set right on the edge of the town and an easy walk to the Cathedral, the hotel is in a lovely, quiet area, with views onto gardens and trees. Friendly check in, underground garage with free parking, good breakfast and big bath - all made it a lovely stay.

The restaurant didn't open until 2030 (yes, I understand this is very Spanish) but they couldn't offer us anything substantial to eat until 2100/2130 and there didn't seem to be a room service menu, other than the cold dishes on the main dining room à la carte menu. We'd had quite a long drive and in the end had a snack at a local bar and gave up on dinner!

The hotel is a 10 minute walk to the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela and has a nice setting.

The hotel staff was very good and helpful.

The bed was not the most comfortable and the shower in the bath tub was not good…the water flow was poor and it was hard to get the water at the right temperature for a shower…needs to be upgraded.
