This hotel is worth a detour; it can genuinely be a primary destination, not just a stopover. The property itself is gorgeous, and we were upgraded to a room with a balcony overlooking the lake. The room was very cozy and spacious, decorated with authentic furniture and beautiful stained glass windows leading out to the balcony. Bathrobes, slippers, and a full set of shampoos, lotions, and soaps were provided, which was a nice touch.
The view from the balcony was breathtaking, and we spent a lot of time just sitting there doing nothing.
We traveled with our dog — the hotel charges €25 for pets, and the room was spacious enough that he had plenty of space to move around. Free parking right next to the entrance was also a bonus.
Breakfast was fantastic. Lots of cheese varieties, homemade jams, eggs cooked to order, croissants, juices, muesli, coffee, and different types of cold meat. You eat right next to the lake, which makes it even better. We will definitely be coming back.

Fab location. Lovely hotel full of character and history, we were upgraded on arrival, delightful surprise. Staff were very kind to our child and dog. The food and service was excellent.

Nothing short of an exceptional stay. The hotel breathes history. The room was classic, spacious and comfortable. Gorgeous views. Restaurant superb and staff efficient and friendly. We had a lovely stay.

We had booked two single rooms because a room with two beds at the time of booking was not available. When we arrived we asked if there was anything available with two beds and the very helpful and wonderful desk person said she could move us into a two-bedroom suite for the same price as the two small single rooms. It was a wonderful room with a view of the lake. The breakfast was great as was the dinner.
Everything was wonderful--robe and slippers in the room, great staff, wonderful breakfast that came with the room.
