Disappointing

As expected, this was very near the golf course where I was playing. The breakfast was good. The staff I met were cheerful and tried to be helpful, but were junior and did not have the answers to my questions

The single room was very small, and in the evening until midnight, then again in the morning, the room seemed to tremble to a loud noise, like being inside a giant clothes drier, which came on for 15 to 20 minutes at a time then stopped for 10 minutes or so, and then began again. It was unpleasant. When I asked in the morning about it, the reception staff did not know what caused it, but thought it might be from the washing-up machine in there kitchen.

Would never stay again… only thing nice was the good nights sleep

Good night sleep and that’s about it…

Check in staff very blunt and arrogant , tuck 15 minutes just for someone to come and see to us… then he chucked me the keys and that was it 🤷🏻‍♂️ no showing us to our room , didn’t explain anything… then as I was half way up the stairs to find our room out self , i got “ what time are you coming down for breakfast in the morning “….. to then reply “ what time is it from/till “….. he Rolled his eyes with a sigh and said “ 7:30 till 9:30 “ ….. if he told me this with everything else he should have said as we checked in there would have been no attitude with my reply back… been coming over here for years and never ever been let down until this stay…. Was definitely not worth £120 for one night… breakfast was ok , chef missed items off , as I then requested them I could here him mowing in the kitchen….

Asked for iron as all clothes where creased was told half hour and one would be sent to room didn’t show so ended up goi

Room was ok clean good selection of tea coffee

Bedroom was boiling had to leave windows wide open but wind was banging doors all night so didn’t get a sleep there was no Wi-Fi which was advertised and couldn’t use phone as no internet connection no iron in room as requested one but never arrived

At £80/£85 would have had no complaints, £165 was a total joke. Couldn't recommend on that basis.

Breakfast, staff and location were spot on.

Hotel is tired, floors get wonkier the higher in the building you go. It was around double the price it should be given condition / state of hotel.

Good location every thing close

Nice entrance stair way very clean and hall ways to lounge bar very nice and breakfast room to BREAKFAST was excellent very good choice and staff where very present cool service over all will be back 😘

Good value and good food

Right on the seafront. Staff friendly and carried luggage to room on top floor. Room warm and comfortable. Meal in restaurant with friends tasty and good value for money. Breakfast cooked to order and nicely presented. Was staying to attend a funeral at nearby church.

Room very poor, carpet in need of replacing and curtains faded, view of kitchen roof.

We went for a party and thought we'd stay at the golf. The restaurant was nicely decorated

If the hotel isn't busy and you've paid £120 for one night it would be nice to have a better decorated room.

Did what it said on the tin

I asked for a boiled egg and was given 2 perfectly cooked. The gentleman at Reception offered to carry my golf clubs unrequested. Impressive and a big help.

Coffee at Breakfast wasn't hot enough.

Pleasant hotel in a great location. Ideal if you are cycling the Hadrian's Way.

The location was perfect for us, being right on the NCR route 72. We were given adequate cycle storage facilities. Our room was clean and comfortable. The meals were very good - both dinner and breakfast. Both members of staff we met were friendly and pleasant.

Our room was the furthest away from reception - up 2 flights of stairs and a long corridor, which seemed odd as we were the only guests staying that night. There was only one pack of biscuits and one sachet of hot chocolate with the kettle in our room. The service in the restaurant was a bit slow, as the manager was doing everything on his own, being short staffed.

Good for what we needed.

To come and play golf it is ideal. Not flash but functional. Friendly staff and a good breakfast. If you want convenience over flash then you will not be disappointed but don’t expect five star.

No Marmite but the place is like marmite love it or hate it.

The hotel served its purpose for my visit to the area

Communal areas require updating but my room had been upgraded to an adequate standard and it was clean and comfortable.

Customer service was poor,communication was dreadful,no information give verbally or left in room re hotel breakfast area,Wi-Fi,out of hours room emergencies.No pleasantries during the stay especially on arrival/departure yet when you step outside the hotel the people of Silloth are so friendly.I have never visited a place & been greeted by so many hello’s whilst out walking.
