Will visit this hotel anytime again

1st morning breakfast was good just missed the scones.

2nd morning I think there was a function or someones birthday because it was very full and very busy which affected our chilled mood we just wanted to eat and leave

Tolerable as booking was non-refundable

Prawns not properly deveined. The waiter told us that is standard quality at the hotel. Room only cleaned after 1pm. Had to wait for deplacement towels. 750 ml Non alcoholic sparkling grape juices not stocked. No Macon offered at breakfast to cater for Halaal guests.

Ensure door lock batteries are properly charged, to avoid guest to trice report to reception that card key no longer operational after it was reset. Had to wait in passage and wife had to use common toilet in passage. Non slip bath mat will avoid accidents.

Family stay

Lovely stay, staff were kind and helpful. Bed was comfortable enough View from room was nice Good breakfast options & restaurant dinner was enjoyable Pool was lovely for an afternoon cool down (although extremely salty) Spa treatments were good, and spa is worth the visit Mini golf, large chess, and jungle gym were sufficient in keeping children entertained.

Limited parking options available When having dinner at the restaurant, we went just after the dinner rush and waited quite a while to be served, and waited even longer for our food, it was quite annoying, as we had our two young kids with us, toddler was hungry and takes the entire dive l dinner which dampened the experience.

Enjoyable except for breakfast. Bathroom needs a deepclean

Breakfast have become boring with no variations.Every day the same , Spur is currently doing a better job.Cheese platters not refreshed. Deserts and fruits were also depleted .

The beds were terrible in 101. I did mentioned it to reception without any joy.

We came to relax and that was what we did.

Breakfast was ok, not great. buffet but not big variety .

Coffee and a kettle available, but we had to ask for cups and glasses. Staff came to knock and asked if they can clean our room. someone stole my laptop and the hotel showed empathy,but no one accepted responsibility. We were in the last room and the cameras do not reach that area. I was very disappointed as I booked the superior room.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay apart from the lack of service at lunch and dinner

Breakfast was good Our room was lovely - very sunny with a beautiful sea view Saw the most beautiful sunrise early morning

We waited more than 2 hours for our dinner to arrive - I feel the hotel was under staff for the amount of people that were booked in. The staff tried their best but it seemed though they could not cope. Not many options for a light lunch - once again waited too long for lunch to arrive kids in room next to us were extremely noisy - kid was crying for hours on Saturday night until 1:00am in the morning as parents left them alone in the room while they went gallivanting.

Lovely hotel. We love visiting Saldannah Bay hotel every year

Friendly, welcoming staff. Lovely atmosphere, hotel and location by the sea. Great views. Great for kids.

The restaurant was super busy. Food taking too long to arrive so we canceled our reservation and ordered room service. The room was cold. No extra blankets. I couldn't get the air con to heat.

The breakfast was exceptional and very filling. We loved the view from our rooms and the kids enjoyed their stay very much from the pool to the game room. Overall it was a great stay. The stuff big ups to them especially at reception

The beds, not sure if it's only the room we booked but they were small and uncomfortable.

The room was a bit worn out. The breakfast was not the best. A bit disappointing.

It was good, nothing less than what I expected for the money I paid and the staff was great.

The lounge was well arranged with comfortable furniture and had ample space. It has a cosy atmosphere, which is what I like to experience in a lounge. The family room we were was fine and had a good view of the ocean and play area. Breakfast was standard, as you would expect at many similar type of hotels, but enjoyable for me. However, my wife said that she would've like a little bit more variation.

The high windows toilet that was not easy for me, which is shorter than average height, to open. I this is a physical element that cannot be changed but maybe a simple installation that extends the windows' latch that can be reached by someone of my height will be wonderful. We commuted mainly through the diner as we were directed when we signed in but it didn't feel right at times, especially with many people sitting down to eat. What I missed was liquid offerings in the mini fridge, especially when the diner closed for the evening.

Will definitely return if these issues are sorted.

The quality of the food & drinks were top notch, not forgetting the delicious lemon meringue👌 The view was also exceptional.

I did however expect there to be more pool lounges available at the pool area for your guests. The fact that there was literally +- 8 pool lounges available for the number of guests that check-in to your hotel is appauling. Also availability of parking space needs some attention.

Poor holiday experience at Saldanha Bay Hotel

Staff unprofessional. We waited more than an hour for our supper to be served. Some of the food at breakfast was old. Some of our device couldn't connect to the wi-fi.Reported to reception who simply said it's because too many people are connected to the wi-fi. Someone was gonna come to our room to fix the issue but never came. There weren't enough towels for the swimming pool, once again was told someone from laundry will bring towels to the pool but this never happened. The mattresses on the bed was not firm. It was indented and we had to turn the mattress over every day. This resulted in poor and uncomfortable sleep and both myself and my husband waking up with lower back ache. Every morning at breakfast there were not enough space. We had to eat on the couches in the lounge one morning and the other 2 morning sit outside on the balcony. No cutlery was given to us. Even though we asked multiple staff members to set up the table for us. No one attended. We ended up taking unused cutlery from other tables. Very unpleasant experience. Staff seemed really annoyed whenever asked for assistance.
