Cute cabin by a beautiful lake, framed by mountain tops. Close to Geiranger but so much more peaceful. Had a sauna which we loved and great cooking facilities. The host Kari-Ann was very kind and lovely and even tumble dried our washing in her house as we were running low on clean clothes after weeks of travel.
The bathroom/toilet was outdated and could do with some reno. Also the price for the cabin was high - though we were only one couple so sharing with another couple would’ve balanced this.
We were super happy about being able to bring out dog with us (as we always are!) but the pet fee was 500 NOK (second highest we came across in Norway in 3 weeks). This brought the total price for the nights stay too high and IMO not worth it :(

Fantastic location. Very welcoming host. Tidy and cosy apartment. All things in the kitchen and rooms were nicely organized.

We had a trip along the Scandinavian Peninsula together with my family and spent more than 2 weeks in different locations each night. Volsness Feriehus is the winner, with no reserve, comparing to the others. This location and the unit itself are the best.
Just the fact that we spent only one night there, the location worths much more time to be spend at.
