This secluded home resides in a gated community making it the perfect destination for a quiet family get away only ~50 minutes from Austin/Georgetown and surrounded by the popular Inks Lake State Park and Fish Hatchery. The house features 40+ windows most of which face the lake, creating a tranquil setting for your family and guests. You’ll find multiple places to gather inside and outside, including a large, covered patio with a great view of the lake to enjoy the sunrise and your morning coffee. Inside you’ll find the open floor plan provides comfortable living room, kitchen, game room, dining room and laundry. Your kitchen features a thoughtful layout around the granite island with a broad range of cooking options and amenities. You can cook while watching the kids and entertaining your guests while enjoying a view of the lake. You're also welcome to use the Weber propane grill or wood burning BBQ smoker. Wide concrete steps provide easy access to the water and boat dock on a private, no-wake cove ideal for swimming, fishing, canoeing, kayaking or floating peacefully on inner tubes with friends. The dock features plenty of space for sunbathing during the day or star gazing at night. With only one public boat ramp on the lake, boat or jet ski traffic is normally minimal. We enjoyed our stay at the Talbot” house very much. It’s a beautiful home in a fairly quiet spot on one of my favorite lakes. It’s perfect for small family getaways. The property owners are attentive to their guests and notified us of an issue with our original booking in time for us to reschedule for a later date. We have stayed here previously and will continue to do so.

We had a splendid time at this beautiful lake house with our extended family. It was a quintessential summer family vacation. My 7 year old caught her first fish on the dock with her grandfather. My 9 year old mastered some paddling skills as she navigated the cove with great delight. We did some lake swims and SUPing in the early mornings. The lawn was the perfect spot for star gazing! The house design makes it easy to connect with family and have a little retreat and quiet time when needed. We were thrilled to be there and appreciated the quick answer to our questions. It was also great to use the kayaks and canoe to get out on the water. We hope to get back soon!!

This lake house is lovely, comfortable, and very well stocked. It has everything you need and then some. We had three kids with us and they loved playing in the lake and the small beach area at the bottom of the steps. Make sure to bring your fishing gear with you.

We loved our stay in this home! The yard was nice and the location on the lake was quiet! My favorite perk was the boat dock is perfect for sitting out and enjoying the evening without the sun on us while we fished! 🎣

Absolutely wonderful property, even better hosts. Relaxing weekend of fishing. When we had a problem, the hosts were right on top of it and were so gracious. I'm nervous about telling the truth in this review, because they will get so busy I won't be able to schedule it for next time. Just book this property, you'll have a great stay. We had a fantastic stay at this lake house! In addition to the consistently high water level that allowed for boating, canoeing, and fishing at our leisure, the house was well appointed with everything everyone needed for a long weekend getaway. Well-stocked DVDs, puzzles, and games were a fun, bonus surprise. All rooms were well appointed and the kitchen had everything our pro-chef needed to prepare Easter dinner and more. It was a lovely stay all around!

Our family stays at this wonderful home every year, and we love it. The house is great, very up to date and spacious and has plenty of yard for family fun. We enjoy going out on the lake with the kayaks and fishing. The owners are quick to respond and are easy to work with. We highly recommend!!

As always we had a great stay! We have been staying at Talbots House, at least once a year, for a number of years and if never disappoints. Plenty of room and the house is well stocked with necessities. My mom is 87 and she has no problem getting around and loves to join us at the lake.

We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend at Richard and Nancy's place. We were 3 couples with two teenagers and had plenty of room. The house has everything we needed and the dock/lake access were super nice. We've been visiting Inks Lake for 15 years and this is one of our favorite places to stay. Highly recommend!

We have stayed at the Talbot‘s Lakehouse multiple times and this holiday was absolutely stellar and everyone enjoyed themselves. The entire home is so well stocked with anything you could ever need. The beds are all comfortable and The entire home was sparkling clean. We shall return for another holiday next year!

We stayed for a long weekend with another family. We have young boys who loved jumping off the boat doc and riding in the kayaks. The house was clean and comfortable. Plenty of towels and blankets. The kitchen had all the essentials and more, you don't need to bring any pots, pans or basic spices, they have you taken care of for sure. We loved our stay and will probably try and book the same place again.

This was by far the best vacation spot we have had in a long time. We will definitely book again for our summer family vacation. It was so peaceful, the lake was so accessible and the house had the basics and then some. Eeverything was perfection. We loved reading the guest book and how so many families before us had the same experience we did. A big plus was “precious” who we found was actually named “pixie.” Mornings by the late was just what the heart and soul needed, and evenings star gazzing on the boat dock with the kiddos was amazing. A+ for our visit.

This property was stunning. From the rustic architecture to the views of the lake from every room, it was a dream. We all slept sop comfortably and had everything we needed. I think we brought too much food! The kayaks and canoe were so nice. Being able to get out on the water every day was a treat. The wildlife and sounds of the bugs were incredible. I plan on enjoying this beautiful home again! Thank you to the Talbot's!

This was our 3rd visit to this stunning lake house! The location is perfect, we enjoyed swimming, fishing (caught some perch and catfish off the dock) and kayaking….this house is a family favorite of ours.
