It’s close to the beach and clean

The location is perfect - only two blocks from the main north-south road where buses take you everywhere, and a few more steps to the beach. Fairly quiet area. Very spacey apartment (#2 and #4 are the largest apartments). Two bedrooms with queen-size beds in both. Sufficiently sized one-line kitchen. Once-a-week cleaning and new bedlinen. Air conditioning in every room, and free WiFi.
We announced our arrival-time per email to the host, but when we arrived there no-one was there to let us in. We didn't have a code that was needed for the main entrance and another code for the apartment. We waited for at least half-an-hour in the sun, but no-one came to let us in. Our phones where not activated yet, so we could not phone the host. No WiFi either to send a message or an email - we were stuck! Asking around in the neighborhood lead us to another apartment building nearby where we were found someone who was able to help us. Finally we were lead into the apartment!
On first inspection we complained about a missing coffee maker, no toaster, insufficient number of cutlery and cups/plates. The pots and pans where old scratched Teflon coated health risks, so we asked for new ones. We got everything we asked for within a few hours - very much appreciated.
What we really didn't like was: low water pressure in the shower and kitchen sink, intermittent noise from the water-pressure tank in the garage below, footstep noise from the apartment above, uncomfortable sitting in the living room, the TV is too small for the distance from the sofa to the corner where the TV is installed, no fly-screens in the windows (airing the apartment was always followed by flies and other insects in the rooms), dirty mattresses. Other than that, just remember that you are in Mexico.

Likes it was central to what I needed.
Wish they had a phone number at the front gate in case you leave your cell phone in the room. You need codes to get into the property.

Air conditioner worked
Exposed stairs. Very dangerous for kids and the elderly. A little run down. No elevator. Can be an issue if you have a lot of luggage as it was on the 4th floor.
