About this house rental
Nestled in San Juan, this charming house for $272 per night is a great option for your next break. Our 3-bedroom, 2-bath (sleeps 8) Villa Serena is surrounded by tropical plants for great indoor/outdoor living. This is another fine property brought to you by The Marco Polo Collection, a collection of fine vacation rental properties! You will be in excellent hands with our professional staff, with many years of experience, drawn from Puerto Rico, the U.S. and Europe. 5-minute walk to some of the most beautiful beaches in Puerto Rico and 10min. to airport, Old San Juan, restaurants and shopping. On the property itself is a large amount of plants and trees, and this has the effect of turning it into a small oasis for birds and a multitude of coquí, a small tree frog almost invisible to the eye (it is the size of a small fingernail). The plants and trees help isolate any city noises, and the songs of the birds during the day and the coquís at night make you feel like you are in the countryside. This 3 bedroom/ 2 bathroom house is fully air conditioned and is tastefully decorated. It also features a terrace that invites you to relax and enjoy your vacation. My family stayed here for a few days and it was perfect. Everything that was needed was provided for us and we felt completely safe in the area. The only thing that I will add is that the water pressure was very weak but everything else was completely fine.

The water pressure went out for a few hours but it began to flow again. May have to purchase pots and pans I had to fry steaks in the little pan and the big pot but it worked out my steaks were delicious. I couldn't find the trash bags so called Marco and the bags were brought right over Thanks! Overall the house is very spacious, beds are comfy and its a gated community which we appreciated. The house is stocked up with alot of beach chairs, towels, books and games to play with family. There's alot kitchenware and appliances. Thanks

The location was excellent and the Marco Polo team were excellent every step of the way. Even though our flight was early they were able to at least accommodate our bags so we wouldn’t have to carry them while waiting to check-in. The house had everything we needed and felt right at home. Even the kitty that roams the exterior of the property was welcoming. Will definitely stay here again.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay. Location is good, assuming you have a car (we did). The gated community aspect is nice from a safety perspective however it makes walking anywhere almost impossible unless you want to go out and around.
The property requires about 6 keys to successfully work the front gate, front door and car parking. Once you figure out what goes where it's fine but is a little confusing at first.

We really enjoyed our stay in this house. It was well appointed and communication with the property management was fantastic!
I would recommend replacing the shower heads, area rugs, and the couches have probably lived their lives.
We would absolutely stay here again!

The house is exactly as pictured in the photos. The kitchen is big enough & has enough equipment to make meals. A real plus was closeness of the local market, literally 2 blocks away. My favorite part of the house was the outdoor space, a great place to sit, read, play games & relax. A nice home base to explore P.R. A suggestion would be to ask for a side door key for all the side doors in & out of the community, it will make your life easier.

They left a lovely welcome package with everything from drinks, milk, bread, eggs, etc that you will need to get settled in and avoid running to the store as soon as you get there. Some of the beds need to be upgraded - sagged a bit in the middle and there were a few leaks (maybe due to the constant rains and hurricanes) but property manager addressed them quickly. I would recommend this property.

Everything that he explained was right on point. The only downside is that they need to explain the access to the beach needs a key for the gate. But the rest of the stay was awesome and a really good experience. I would recommend to everyone.

We had an amazing time in Ocean Beach and Old San Juan was 10 minutes away. The house met our needs and was fully equipped for all our needs including a bbq. We were welcomed by a site manager when we called and she assisted us getting settled. The only detractor of the stay was the nightly power outages. One night was only twenty minutes, but another was over two hours. If we come back to Puerto Rico, I would definitely stay here again. The house kitty that visited made our stay feel like we were at home. (We have 4 cats) The coqui in the garden sang to us through out the night and it truly felt like a tropical vacation.

Marco polo collection really impresses me! Everything was great! We had a super time in Puerto Rico! The house was close to the beach, the bakery kasalta is a few minute drive and to die for! It was close to old San Juan, bars/clubs, beaches, museum, casinos and fine dining! We never had to drive really far!

Overall we had a nice experience. Ville was very nice . We had 6 people plenty of room. Just a problem with the water in the showers. The master shower you can’t even use it just drips. So a bit challenging 6 people to use one shower. The keys to get in and out of ville should be labeled. Takes 10 min just to get in and out of the house. Other than that we had a great time in San Juan .

Cozy Family Home!
This house is great for families or groups up to 8 people. Well equipped, everything in working order, very clean. Very close to Loiza Street full of restaurants, bars, coffee shops and vintage stores where locals eat and entertain. Very safe and secure location, close to Ocean Park beach and Condado area. Close to airport. Uber works perfectly fine for transportation to and from any location around San Juan area.
Definitely reccomended.

Perfect for larger family--plenty of space!
We stayed at Villa Serena over Thanksgiving 2018, with our family of three teens. The place was wonderful: Plenty of room for our team to stretch out and not bug each other. There was a big dining room table for eating meals and playing cards at night. The kitchen was well equipped and kindly stocked with basics when we arrived (soda, eggs, bread, some lunch meat and cheese, milk, coffee). Love that! We watched some of the DVDs and Netflix at night. Good wifi and AC made it comfortable.
The location was ideal. We walked to the grocery store a few blocks away on Thanksgiving morning and then two blocks north to visit the beach over lunch. Came back and cooked a mini Thanksgiving meal during our stay. Other restaurants in the neighborhood were tasty (Tasca del Leon and Pa Pical). We had a rental car and used it to drive to the Art Museum about 7 minutes away and the next day into Old San Juan (15 min). Also, we had an early morning departure and it was great to be just 10 minutes from the airport. Highly recommend the location.
Other nice touches: having plenty of beach towels and a cooler we could borrow to take some things to the beach. It was easy to deal with the owners/managers and we were happy to drop our things at about 11:45 on the check in day, so that we could explore San Juan without all our suitcases in the car. You won't regret staying here!

Perfect for a family trip!
Our trip to Puerto Rico was awesome. The house was equipped with everything we needed. All of the other reviews are accurate and helpful. House was a short walk to the beach. There were plenty of beach towels and beach chairs too. The staff was very helpful and responsive. Check in and check out was easy. I would recommend this house and stay here again.
